Safety, trust & environment
When out and about, I routinely ask other dog-walkers for permission or an invitation before letting your pups introduce themselves. I am highly conscious of door and fence/gate hygiene, either at your home or at the dog park. And while at that dog park or on those walks, I strive to never mix leashed dogs with unleashed dogs, so as to minimize any power imbalances. At mealtime, I monitor a chubby pooch with a slow metabolism to make sure he doesn't partake of his slim & trim buddy's leftovers. I appreciate and adhere to the routines you've established for your pet. I like to build trust and reinforce cooperation & good behavior by asking dogs for a "shake" or "sit" or "down" before rewarding them with a treat.
Information Elizabeth B. would like to know about your pet
Be sure to let me know your dog's special needs, handicap(s), diet, familiar commands, routine, your preferred vet, etc., so I can give him or her the best possible experience during our time together. I have done long-term dog-sitting with two separate elderly dogs. One of them was quite infirm, with joint/mobility issues and hearing loss. I was able to give Yuri gentle assistance going up and down staircases, to put special socks on his hind feet (to avoid scrapes, because he dragged his feet a bit), and to communicate effectively through visual cues and touch. I also house-sat with a small, middle-aged dog recovering from spinal surgery. Marley needed me to carry him outside for nature's call, and he needed me to give him oral pain medication.
A typical day
With the rich abundance of dog parks around here, there's no shortage of opportunities for me to take your dog on an outing to run around, play catch, and sniff old friends and new acquaintances. We'll take full advantage of your back yard space, too, if available. Plus your dog's regularly scheduled walks throughout the day, of course!

Pet care experience
I have dog- & cat-sat and walked dogs for friends and family, off and on for decades. I respect and strive to maintain your training and behavioral standards. In my experience, dogs live to please us and get it right -- and get a reward. :-) I relish seeing sociable pooches' delight when I take them to the dog park to chase balls and play with new friends. I enjoy each and every walk through the neighborhood just to see who's out and wanting to say "hi!" (read: "woof!"). I know how important a routine can be, so I do my utmost to adhere to yours, so that pooch who misses you will have the least possible other disruptions to their sensibility. ;-)

Elizabeth was AMAZING with our pets! My Maverick is not the easiest dog to come around as a stranger, but Elizabeth managed to establish a good rapport with him. She took notes during our first meet and greet which went a long way in giving us peace of mind while we were away. We came back to a spotless house, and she provided updates on the pets just the right amount… Not too often and not only when I asked. I am usually very nervous when I spend more than a few days away from the fur babies, but Elizabeth made it so easy to feel secure knowing my babies were in good hands. THANK YOU, Elizabeth! 10/10 will be booking again!
Second time we asked Elizabeth to babysit our cats and we couldn’t be more relaxed. She looks after our babies as her own, with my cats being picky about food and water, we couldn’t find a better person to trust.

Elizabeth was great to work with! She was very communicative and proactive and seemed to do great with our kitties! The house was left super clean and neat and we’re looking forward to working with her again in the future 🥰
Elizabeth was fantastic with our pup! Elizabeth took the time to make sure she understood our dogs needs and routines to make the whole experience the best she could. Elizabeth was super responsive and made sure we were kept informed on how our dog was doing. We will 100% use Elizabeth anytime we need to leave our dog.
