Pet care experience
fluffy friends are the best friends
Hello! My name is Elizabeth, and I love dogs & cats: I've been pet sitting for family and friends for many years and have been on the Rover app since 2016. I have a tendency to become best friends with my temporary 4-legged fuzzy roommates! Currently, there's a bit of work happening in and nearby outside of my apartment & building - so for now, I'm focused on caring for your pets in the familiarity (and quietness!) of their own home. Below is my profile as I've had it for hosting dogs in my home: **** Hello! My name is Elizabeth, and I live in a 575 sq. ft, one-bedroom apartment with no 2- or 4-legged roommates. I work remotely, so I can keep an eye on your pup each day. If your dog is "lively" and maybe even pulls a bit on the leash, I'll gladly taken them on long daily walks around town to expend that energy and explore. Or if your dog is smaller, older, or otherwise on the exercise-adverse side, I'll gladly let them lounge on the couch all day instead and help me get to the last page of the internet. I can't wait to meet some new fluffy friends! xoxo
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I have experience keeping multiple animals on track with several concurrent pill/drops/injection schedules. I also have experience caring for pets post-surgery and keeping an eye on them to make sure they're not trying to wiggle out of their cone or using sore knees to jump on and off furniture, etc. You can be assured that your pet's eating regimens will be closely followed. I am super strict with food - I flat out never share my human food with my four-legged guests except for in a couple of cases where dogs weren't wanting their pills, so I used some natural 2-ingredient peanut butter to … “encourage” them 😁 My building has locked gates at each entrance and in 10 years of living here and taking care of dogs, I can count on one hand the number of escapes from my front door and as for escapes from the building: a grand total of zero. I’m very, very aware of who may be at my feet when the door is opened...especially with cats!! Lastly and most importantly: any time that an animal has begun acting oddly I have alerted the owners straight away. Typically it’s just been a case of anxiety that dies down after some time with me, and in one case I just needed to pick up a renewed prescription at the local vet. I am committed to do whatever it takes to ensure my fluffy friends are all good!
Ratings and reviews
This was my first time using Rover for my cat Eloise and Elizabeth completely put my mind at ease. She was very nice and professional and most importantly, my cat was happy!! Eloise can be quite picky and Elizabeth completely won her over. Will be booking with her again!!

Elizabeth did a great job with my cat and dog. My dog is a sensitive soul and she was very patient with him. Also, she did great with handling my cat’s health situation and medication, as well as communicating about anything that came up with the pets while I was traveling. She took good care of my place as well and left it in great condition.

Elizabeth has taken great care to get to know Huey, who is a sensitive soul and my cat Jasper. Her calming energy, led them both to quickly feel comfortable with her and trust her.

Couldn’t say enough positive things about our experience booking Elizabeth. She stayed with our dog for a week and we came home to a calm, regulated pup (no small thing given our high energy, routine-oriented girl!) and a super tidy house. We’re SO appreciative and only hope the stars align and we can snag her the next time we’re away! Thank you so much!

She was great with my cat Bodhi. Gave her lots of love and attention. Very professional and considerate. Would recommend.

Elizabeth is an excellent dog sitter and took amazing care of our dogs and our home. We have booked with her multiple times, and she is truly the only person on rover that we 100% trust!

Schedule
I go out of my way as much as is humanly possible to ensure my errands/appointments/outings don't last longer than 4 hours while caring for your pet. Most days I probably won't need to leave your furry family member alone at all! **Have a puppy? Special needs pet?** I certainly understand that some animals need particularly close supervision and/or otherwise up to 4 hours is much too long for them to be left alone. If that's the case with yours, just let me know from the very beginning. Occasionally, there will be some weeks/weekends I can't accommodate that. But don't be afraid to ask - often, I absolutely am able to accommodate my schedule to fit. In such cases, I charge $250/night for what I call "constant care rate", which is for: a.) _ANY_ dog under 2 years old and/or b) pets that cannot be left alone for more than 2 hours/day
- 0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsDogs over 1 year oldElizabeth can host up to 1 pet per night
- Please let me know if your pet has been sick leading up to the visit. I certainly have dealt with animals who are under the weather, but it's best to be honest, not just for my sake - but theirs. If they need extra attention, special food, etc. - just share the details with me so that I can do what I need to to get them back on track. Happy and healthy is the goal!!
