I grew up raising and training our family dogs and am currently at home during the day with my own young Labrador, Ellie, who loves other dogs. I have professional dog walking and pet sitting experience. I worked with an excellent pet sitting/dog training company in the DC area and gained valuable experience there. I have worked for myself as a dog walker/pet sitter in the DC/Northern Virginia area. I have basic pet first aide and ongoing obedience training experience. I have easy access to beautiful wooded areas for hikes and local neighborhoods for walks. We have a local dog park nearby as well. I am reliable and responsible. I take notes on the details you provide about your dog’s needs and give you feedback on our time together. I love to share photos. I can care for older dogs, give meds and work with special needs. I have experience with a wide range of breeds. My dog socializes well with others and enjoys company. I am detail oriented and attentive to individual pup’s needs. I also have experience with cats as both an owner and a sitter.

She knows how to make even nervous dogs feel comfortable, gives each dog individualized care tailored to their temperament, didn't mind a high maintenance picky eater, sent lots of pics, made me feel so secure they were in good hands! Eliza is a true dog lover. She really cares about the health, safety and well being of the dogs under her care. She sent me pictures that demonstrated how happy and comfortable my dog was in her home and how well she was being looked after, including several adventures in nearby parks and trails. I highly recommend her!

Schedule
I have time at home during the day with my own pup, Ellie, to do multiple walks and to provide company and playtime. Best if your pup likes dog company.

Safety, trust & environment
Update to dog visiting services: I need to keep drive times down so I know I can be on time for your pet, so it’s best for regular visits if we live within 3 miles of one another. I can also come with a sweet, energetic, young Labrador who loves other dogs. Pet sits: I can accommodate your dog’s needs to help them feel at ease. I can provide one on one attention, activities and just time to hangout. Since I don't have a fenced yard I do walks and playtime throughout the day. It’s best for everyone if your dog has good leash manners. I also have toys to play with and indoor games. In addition to regular walks and potty breaks I can add in drives to visit local parks, dog parks, and longer hikes on nature trails depending on each dog’s comfort levels. Dogs have free range at home and my dog is happy to share space with others. I also have a comfortable, enclosed play area to create some separation if pups need a break. I keep dogs separated at meal times to avoid conflicts and only follow the diet you provide.

A typical day
We have a nice, new dog park nearby. We have local walking trails and parks. I have baskets of toys, kongs and chews at home and room to play indoors. I have a patio with a view of the general area for hanging out outside at home.
