The needs of each pet are different, and I aim to make all of them as comfortable and content as possible. I sent photos with all of my bookings, as well as notes of anything of note that occurred. I want you all to be comfortable as well! If I take the pets on walks, they will always be kept on a leash unless in a specific situation previously discussed with their owner. In bookings at my house, I have a fenced in yard where I supervise, as well as most of my home. I have a few rooms shut off for safety purposes.

Let me know if your pets are going to have any specific food or exercise needs while I'm watching them. I'd also like to know if they have any allergies (as I love to give them treats). It would also be appreciated to have a heads up if there are any things that your pet(s) are specifically reactive to!
A typical day
I love to have a wide range of activities, some will last longer or shorter depending on the animals. For dogs, I typically take them on a walk or two through nature and/or neighborhoods, play fetch, individual play in the yard, some light command reinforcement or work (stay, sit, come, etc.), all depending on the needs and desires of the dogs and owners. For cats, I typically incorporate some play time from fetch to various cat toys, and pets or snuggles, if desired. And for all animals, there is lots of time to rest or nap, as needed, for longer bookings.

Pet care experience
I care for your animals as though they are my own. I have experience with cats and dogs of all ages, including training, basic grooming (nail trimming, baths and similar care). I have had cats and dogs all my life, (and also have lived with goats, horses, chickens, and cows.) I am passionate about animals and making sure they are as comfortable and happy as possible! I do have experience caring for reactive or nervous pets, as well. I also have a dog training certification, and am actively pursuing additional certifications for more specific skills, commands, and situations.

Eliza was great with my senior corgi who has serious health problems. She was patient and concerned about Bobby. She worked with him to find what he would eat and kept me apprised of his condition. It was a relief to have such a reliable sitter when I had to go to Portland for surgery. She was also flexible with the end date when I had to extend my stay,
Eliza was a wonderful pet sitter for our two senior cats. She visited them each day, sent pictures to let us know they were doing well, was super easy to communicate with, and followed all instructions to the letter. I can’t wait to leave town again so we can use her services again!
Eliza is such a wonderful walker for our energetic Bernese Mountain Dog. She was a quick friend and has been very patient with him, as he can be stubborn and be hyper. Highly recommend Eliza!
