Elissa is incredibly thoughtful and nurturing, and I would leave our beloved family dog in her care in a heartbeat. She knows how to "read" animals -- she can assess their comfort levels and needs instantly, and will adapt to whatever those are whether snuggles on the couch, exercise outdoors, or a little solo quiet time and space in a comfy area of her apartment. Can't recommend her highly enough. (She is also great with cats!)

Elissa cared for our rescue dog for about four days - she knew exactly what he needed to be comfortable and happy while we were out of town. She gave us updates on how he was doing and asked questions when she needed to. Hugo was super happy the entire time he was with her and we would happily have her take care of him in the future.

Elissa is the best with dogs! Just the best! She is affectionate with animals in her care, but also responsible and smart when it comes to maintaining good discipline. If you put your dog in Elissa's care, you will not find that all their good habits are broken. Probably the pooch will come back better trained! She is particularly good at going on very long walks and tiring them out, but she is also happy to adjust to different personalities. (I am laughing as I write this because I recall a dog that hated EVERYONE, and would not let anyone touch her, yet Elissa just sat down on the couch and the dog basically crawled in her lap and asked for cuddles-- which annoyed all the people who wished they could pet the mean old thing:) You will love working with Elissa!

Elissa has a gift in understanding the needs of animals. It is clear that she has taken lessons learned in her primary job in the healthcare field and used it to treat our pets with care, compassion and joy. I have wholeheartedly entrusted her with caring for my best friend and feel perfectly comfortable with her decisions and ability to operate in case any emergencies were to arise.
