I’m currently working 40 hours, M-F. I’m coming up on 5 years at my current job. I also volunteer weekdays & weekends with a local animal non-profit shelter. I’ve been doing this since 2021. I’ve logged hundreds of hours walking dogs, reading to cats and taking care of animals in need. I am an Advance Dog Walker, meaning I know how to walk hard-to-handle dogs. I am doing Rover after work and Friday/Saturdays for house sitting. I can walk Monday-Friday & am also available for drop-ins as well.

I have a rescue dog at home. Her name is Coco. She’s 85 pounds of pure joy. I got her when she was five, she’s going to be 10 this May 16th. Coco requires a daily pill and a topical cream. Both administered by me. I have to pill her, but, I’ve gotten really good at making it quick and painless for both of us and I can do the same for your dog, if needed. Coco gets regular exercise. I do work but she’s a rockstar at home. She gets plenty of treats and a big daily dose of love! I’ll take care of your pets with that same level of care, love and attention to detail. Keeping a calm environment is paramount to successful care. I’ll keep you updated on your pet when they’re in my care with photos. I’m able to walk your doggo, drop-in or even house sit, so let’s meet up and get your dog or cat in good hands.

Please let me know about any behaviors so I’m prepared. I prefer a meet-and-greet first hand, before any commitments. I’m more than ready to make reasonable adjustments to be there for your pets and you.
A typical day
I’ve got plenty of toys, ready to throw balls and go the distance to help your dog feel the love. We can go for a pup cup and then hit up the park for some fun! I can be vigorous or take my time, all based on what your dog activity needs and energy levels. Not afraid to pick up poop or change a litter box when needed. We can Netflix and chill if your pup or kitty wants to just relax during a house sitting. I’m adaptable and ready to help you and help your pets! I’ll keep your house tidy and respect your space. If it’s your cat I’m looking after, I’ll bring plenty of yummy snacks and “cat”tastic toys :)

I’ve taken care of animals all of my life. My first pets were an albino hamster named Winston & my sweet Chow Chow, Sugarbear! I rescued a Golden Retriever named Bonita. She was the love of my life from 15, through college :) We kept one of her puppies, Tanner, who was special needs, missing a paw and some toes…he could always depend on me to take care of him. I’m comfortable and confident with dogs of any size. I always have some good treats on-hand :) I rescued my Shepard/Husky, CoCo from AH in 2021. She was 5, now going on 10. Now…I’m ready to take care of your furry family with the same care and level of professionalism. I’d love to get to know your fur baby! I am Patient and Kind, Affable & Excited. Elisha is a great pet caregiver. He takes the time to play with pets under his care. He is very gentle with them and understands that every pet has different needs. Elisha loves spending time with both dogs and cats. He volunteers at Animal Humane, where he walks dogs and reads to the cats.
Elisha, pronounced E-lie-sha, is my son, he has had pets almost all his life. His first Pat was a hamster , he cared for Winston, fed him , changed his bedding etc until Winston’s passing. He also had a Golden Retriever when he was in high school. He cared for his dog until he went off to college. Elisha has a real desire to work with animal and to do what he can to make a difference in the quality of life for those animals that may not have a forever home. He volunteers with Animal Humane New Mexico, he walks dogs and reads to the cats, he provides treats for the animals and pays with his own money to provide them with treats. He is conscientious, caring and honest!, very dependable, very trustworthy! I highly recommend Elisha for the job.
