Pet care experience

You Pet’s Home Away From Home

I have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs. I had my family dog for 14 wonderful years, and later my partner and I welcomed his brother’s dog into our home following a family separation. He was part of our family for 7 years before we sadly lost him 4 years ago.
Although we haven’t replaced him, we’ve continued to care for dogs by looking after family members’ pets while they’re on holiday or away for weekends. We both genuinely love spending time with dogs and have really missed our daily walks and having a furry companion around the house. After giving it a lot of thought, we’ve decided to open our home to other dogs so we can provide them with a safe, loving, and comfortable place to stay.
Our home has a large, secure back garden with easy access through side gates and from the kitchen. We also have air conditioning, which helps keep dogs cool and comfortable during warmer weather.
We’re lucky to live just a 12-minute walk (or a 2-minute drive) from a beautiful local lake and park with plenty of open space, perfect for enjoyable walks, playtime, and exercise.
Your dog’s safety is my priority. I never let dogs off the lead unless I have the owner’s permission and know they have reliable recall. To ensure every dog receives plenty of attention and care, I only accept one booking at a time unless the dogs are from the same household.
I know how reassuring it is to know your pet is happy while you’re away, so I’ll send daily photo updates and messages to give you peace of mind. My aim is for your dog to feel relaxed, loved, and to enjoy their own little holiday while staying with us.
For extra reassurance, I have completed a Canine First Aid course, giving me the knowledge to respond appropriately should an emergency ever arise.

I couldn’t recommend her enough as a dog sitter. She is incredibly caring and absolutely loves dogs. She treats every dog like they’re her own, giving them plenty of attention, cuddles and, of course, a few extra treats! She especially loves taking them on long walks around the lake, making sure they get plenty of exercise and enjoy themselves. She’s very patient, loving and responsible, and I know any dog staying with her would be in safe and caring hands. 🐾❤️

Elisha is amazing, she has looked after my chow chow Bruce lots over the years and he loves it there so much and feels just at home. He doesn’t settle in new places and takes him to trust but he settled straight in relaxed with Elisha. I feel relaxed knowing she is taking care of him like her own dog. He gets spoilt with walks, treats and cuddles. I’m not sure he wants to come home after all the love and attention. Highly recommend for a safe reliable and happy home. Thank you

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine, and I enjoy making pets feel like part of the family while they’re staying with us. I work every Wednesday and Thursday and every other weekend, but my partner is home on weekends and is usually home by early afternoon on weekdays, so boarded dogs are rarely left alone for long. Outside of work, I have plenty of time for walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, and maintaining each dog’s usual routine. I understand that every pet has different needs, and I’m committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and loving home while they’re in my care.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. We have a large, fully fenced and secure back garden where dogs can enjoy supervised outdoor time safely. Our home is pet-friendly, child-free, non-smoking, and there are no other family pets, providing a calm and relaxed environment for dogs who prefer a quieter setting. Before each stay, I’ll take the time to learn about your dog’s routine, personality, dietary needs, and any medical requirements so I can provide care that’s tailored to them. I’ll follow your instructions closely, supervise pets carefully, and provide regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

A typical day

A typical day would include a good morning walk, plenty of playtime and attention, regular feeding and toilet breaks, and lots of cuddles and companionship. I’d also make sure they have time to relax and feel comfortable at home.
