James and I started pet sitting and traveling in 2018, and it has been a fabulous adventure. We enjoy taking care of all animals. We love walking the dogs to get our steps in and cats with their uniqueness. We believe staying home with them until they get settled in is very important. We won’t leave them home alone, as they are happier when we’re around. Lots of walks, play time, and snuggles. We have lived in Seward Park since 2003 in a home with a fenced yard about a mile from the park. It is a great dog walking neighborhood. We enjoy puppies and senior dogs. We are also good medicine givers. Call or text us.

We are SOOOOO happy and grateful that we found Elise. This was our first time using Rover and leaving our sweet Lucy with someone outside of the family. When we met with Elise, she immediately put us (and Lucy) at ease. And let me tell you, Elise is the cat whisperer! Lucy gets separation anxiety but Elise was able to get Lucy out of the bedroom and out playing and snuggling. We also looked forward to and greatly appreciated the wonderful photos that Elise sent - we could see how well Lucy was doing and the fun she was having playing. HUGE and sincere thank you Elise!
Always a relief to know Lexi is being taken care of by the best!
Banjo and Mancha have stayed with Elise and James twice now, and we truly could not ask for better sitters. They have been so well cared for both times, and Elise is great about sending photos and updates throughout the stay. We can tell the dogs feel right at home (and Banjo especially loves having a backyard deck to lounge on all day). It’s been so nice to leave the dogs in trusted hands and enjoy time away without worrying. Don’t hesitate to book - they are the best!
This was Buffy's second stay but first overnight and Elise took such wonderful care of her. Buffer adores her and I can tell that she feels very comfortable with her with how excited she was to see her again. Elise takes the extra time to be with her, giving her affection and snuggles and it makes a big difference. Appreciate the updates as well!

Schedule
We are a Retired married couple who throughly enjoy dogs/cats. We have been International pet sitters since 2018, and we have found that bonding is the most important thing about boarding a new animal. Creating a trust and being there with them so they don’t feel alone. Having fun activities to do that they enjoy is imperative. Many times it’s walking and “getting a smell” of their new environment. We have many popular walking neighborhood loops and Seward Park is always a hit. We enjoy them and they enjoy us. We make it a priority to listen to their individual language and gain their trust.

Safety, trust & environment
Our home has screened windows and lots of light. We have safe hiding places, a comfy bed, and are home a lot, which they really like. Food is very important and we feed them as requested. We listen to what our pet owners have to say about their animals, as everyone is different. Please let us know anything else that makes them feel comfortable.
A typical day
We have a very active area with great walking around the neighborhood and dog parks. Depending on what your animal likes, we will keep him entertained at their level and lots of snuggles.
