I don't feel good leaving a negative review here but considering the circumstances I don't really think I have a choice. I booked Elise to watch my cat while I was away for five days, with the understanding that her partner would be the one dropping in since she wasn't available. I got back from my trip last night and the litterbox hadn't been scooped the entire time I was away. It was literally overflowing with waste to the point where my cat had started peeing next to it because there wasn't anywhere left inside it to stand. I spent an hour and a half scrubbing the floor and the moulding to try and get rid of the cat pee smell and it's still not fully out; I think the floor might be permanently ruined. Also the fridge was left open, a can of empty cat food was left rotting on the counter, and the wet food was continually piled on top of one single-use plate all week that was never switched out, so my cat was eating her meals off of a pile of days-old caked-on meat. The idea of my cat living like this for almost a week makes me so sad and I really feel like I failed her with this booking. Again, I hate leaving this negative review, but our animals do so much for us and ask for so little, and the baseline level of care and empathy that was present with every other sitter I've booked - and absent here - is the very least they deserve.

Elise was so fabulous with Stanley and Maggie for their day walks! They looked so happy in the pictures she sent!
