Information Eliot J. would like to know about your pet
I am fairly flexible due to extensive experience with all types and temperaments of dogs, however I would obviously like to know any quirks or preferences your dog may have in order for us to have a smooth stay together. If taking care of the dog in my own home they should be good with, or at the very least manageable, with other dogs; if not just let me know prior to booking. I have crate trained listed as a preference as it is often the best way to help a dogs acclimate to an unfamiliar area when unattended; if the dog is used to being crated it acts as a den, a safe haven for them. I only crate if I have to go out for an errands, otherwise the dogs are loose with me- on the various beds, or in the crate with the door open, depending upon their preference.
A typical day
For a dog who enjoys long walks and hikes, I am familiar with many local trails and love discovering new ones as well. I enjoy taking excursions to area parks and reserves for play with other dogs, or hikes for dogs I am caring for overnight or daycare. My schedule varies, as do the activities we partake in. Pet care experience
July 3, 2026: I severely broke my right ankle and will be unable to offer any pet care (work/have income) for 4-10 weeks. April 1, 2026: Due to the rise in gas prices the drop in and walk visit base rates now only include 10 miles of round trip travel, and $5 per additional 10 miles. I have a formula for this calculation, but feel free to reach out with any questions or hardship and we can See if modifications are able to be made In certain circumstances. December 1, 2025: Effective immediately, there will be a surcharge of $5/ 5 miles of travel on days with significant inclimate weather for visits that cannot be cancelled or otherwise rescheduled. August 2025: unfortunately, with the new update to the Rover app, it has been extremely unreliable. I made them aware of this a couple weeks ago and still have not seen any improvement, so please be patient with response times (I respond Immediately when I am able to open the app) as the app has not been loading for me consistently with service or even connected to Wi-Fi. Feel free to message with any questions or special circumstances for the care you need for your pet(s). Pick up/drop off is always available for boarding and daycare clients as needed. If you are using Rover for the first time you can use coupon code “Eliot Jordan 20” with myself or any sitter for $20 off your first booking and the sitter still gets paid their same rate. The rates shown on my profile are base rates and may be subject to change depending on the owner and dog’s needs/distance. • Traveling pet care: I have extensive experience with animals of all sizes and temperaments with two decades of professional pet care experience. My profile shows my typical base rates but services may be less or more depending on extending a service to more time, travel fees for out of area, adding a service such as nail trims, etc., so always feel free to ask if there are questions. My prices reflect what I feel is fair as a pet owner myself, while also taking my experience, time and travel time for services that require it in to consideration. Some prices may be negotiable based on circumstances/duration, so please feel free to ask any questions if you would like me to help care for your pet but have financial limitations. Some rates may also be subject to additional fees based on distance, or behavioral issues or special requirements, disclosed or not. Early morning, late night, weekend and out of area drop in visits may be subject to an additional fee. I have worked for myself as well as pet care companies doing dog walking, overnight and cat care, bathing and basic grooming, nail trims and dremeling (cats and dogs), and basic training. I also have worked doing dog rescue since 2001, primarily with Dachshunds and other small breeds (with the exception of an American Bulldog and mastiffs), as that is my family's rescue's focus. I am comfortable with all breeds and am able to provide care for special needs animals. For example, because Dachshunds are prone to IVDD (paralysis) I am experienced with expressing dogs if needed, as well as providing oral or injectable medications such as insulin or subcutaneous fluids. In addition to taking care of dogs and cats I also have experience taking care of horses, ponies, donkeys, goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, fresh and saltwater fish, hermit crabs, and a variety of reptiles (tortoises and lizards). I have personally owned small and large dogs, cats, horses, chickens, hermit crabs, leopard geckos, an iguana, and freshwater fish. House sitting is also available locally, or at a distance depending on my schedule. Upon request I offer free nail trims to dogs/cats who I care for 2 consecutive nights or more, and offer bathing and deshedding services as well (free bath for short hair small breed (<20lbs); for all others price varies depending on what is required). I primarily work for myself from home and my schedule is fairly flexible to accommodate most booking requests. Crate training is a requirement for daycare or boarding dogs as pets are crated if I have to leave for a bit of their stay for errands, drop in visits or walks. Dogs (if I already am hosting or have my own) are introduced in the yard before coming inside and have supervised free range in the house as appropriate. If you would like a meet and greet prior to your first booking, please request and schedule prior to booking. Visits begin once I have parked to enter/walk to the residence. Owners will be responsible for any parking fees if applicable. I work for myself from home and my schedule varies daily. I typically accommodate my schedule around booking requests and tailored for each client’s requirements. I describe myself as strict but fair. Strict in the sense that I establish fair and safe rules and boundaries, with any new client and extend more privileges as we establish understanding and a relationship with one another. I also enjoy working with younger dogs or any dog that look for mental stimulation and training during drop in visits.

Eliot was very helpful and stopped in to take care of our cats while we were gone! Will definitely book her again.

Eliot took great care of my busy little 4 month old puppy while I was out of town for a few nights. He came home happy and exhausted 😊
