I grew up in a family that always had dogs and cats (and fish and ferrets and more!). I became the 'dog whisperer' of the household, older siblings asking me to get the dogs to do what they wished. Now I'm the go-to for family, friends, and in-laws for pet-sitting. Dogs are the most common but I've loved helping friends out with caring for their cats, guinea pigs, bunnies, and even birds - I really do appreciate all critters! I believe it's important for sitters and carers to be able to read the animals they're caring for and respond appropriately - it's easy for most folks to communicate with big boisterous dogs but I'm also ready to mirror appeasement gestures and minimize myself for the shy guys. My goal is to reduce any amount of stress your pet may encounter while you're away.
