Animal-loving house sitter :))
Hello, I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, and turtles. For the past four years, I’ve mostly been house-sitting/taking care of a good neighbor/friend turtle who I love dearly. I’ve put her to bed and cleaned her cage, along with feeding her while sitting with her for 3+ hours most days. I’ve learned to care for pets as if they are my own and love all animals. :))

Elijah took great care of Juno and Pumpkin while we were out of town during a difficult time for my family while I was holding a memorial for my mother’s passing.
Elijah did a fantastic job taking care of our two kitties and our pup. He is very responsible and a delightful person. We will definitely ask Elijah to take care of our dear pets again and again. Thank you Rover for giving us Elijah.

Elijah was extremely responsive and respectful and I'm pretty sure if my dog could talk, he'd say he loved his time with him and has a new friend.
I am so grateful Elijah was able to care for our dog Louie while my husband and I were out of town for the weekend. He was great at keeping us updated on how things were going, touching base several times a day and sending photos. When we arrived home, Louie seemed calm and relaxed. Our home was left neat and tidy. We look forward to working with Elijah again knowing that we can be at ease leaving Louie in his care.
Elijah was polite and friendly to us and our reactive rescued pocket bully. He was willing and able to handle her complex feeding instructions, walking peccadillos, and anxieties about people and dogs. Farah looked more relaxed with him in photos he sent than she did with her last pet sitter. Elijah also offered to do any light housekeeping chores we needed, wiped down counters before he left, and even did his own laundry and made up the bed again. Highly recommend!

Programa
Pet care is a vital and seamless part of my daily and weekly routine. Over the past four years, I have taken care of dogs, cats, and especially a neighbor's turtle, who I have grown to love dearly. Each day, I ensure that she is fed and her cage is cleaned, and I spend over three hours sitting with her, ensuring she feels loved and cared for. This routine has taught me to care for pets as if they were my own and deepened my love for all animals. Incorporating pet care into my schedule is crucial to me. I ensure my pet is happy and healthy, from morning walks to evening snuggles. Every activity, whether feeding, brushing, or playing, is an opportunity to deepen our bond and show my pets the love and attention they deserve. Balancing pet care with my other responsibilities, such as my involvement in ROTC at Norwich University for the past three years, has honed my discipline and time management skills. In addition to my ROTC commitments this summer, I am taking summer courses and have lacrosse practices. Despite these busy schedules, I always ensure that pet care remains integral to my routine, reflecting my dedication to their well-being.

As a dedicated pet caregiver/Owner, my approach to pet care is tailored to the pet's needs and the environment. I prioritize creating a safe and nurturing space in my own home or while providing services for clients. This includes regular feeding schedules, enriching activities such as walks or playtime, administering medications if needed, and maintaining cleanliness through regular grooming and sanitation practices. Additionally, I strive to provide ample affection and attention to ensure each pet feels valued and loved, whether under my roof or in the comfort of a client's home.

While I watch them, I can keep your pets happy, healthy, and busy with a variety of enjoyable activities. Dogs love playing fetch because it's a terrific way to socialize with each other and burn off energy. Treat-dispensing toys and puzzle toys are examples of interactive toys that can amuse both cats and dogs. For pets, training sessions that involve teaching them new tricks or having them practice commands can be entertaining and enjoyable. Dogs enjoy walks and outdoor play, while some cats might like to explore the outdoors under supervision. Playtime with feather wands or laser pointers is especially enjoyable for cats. For dogs, putting up a basic agility course may be entertaining and a great way to burn off energy. Certain loved ones find solace and strength in quiet time and affection.
