My top priority is ensuring that your dogs are comfortable and happy. All dogs are lovely individuals and I promise to treat them with the respect they deserve, positively reinforcing good behavior and giving them lots of love and attention. Unless given instruction or requested, I will default to taking your pets out for as long of a walk as they need, after all, walks aren't just for fulfilling bodily needs, they also serve for enrichment!

Kitsap Humane Volunteer Dog Walker
Pet care experience
Animals have always been one of the things in my life that keep me centered. As a volunteer dog walker with the Kitsap Humane Society, I have received training in dog handling, canine body language, and making use of positive reinforcement (Such as click for quiet training) Be it spending time birdwatching or feeding chipmunks during visits to Ontario, I'm always at my best when there's a critter of some kind involved. But even including that, Half of my thoughts are about dogs. I started volunteering with the Kitsap Humane Society in December 2024 as a dog walker, and I've enjoyed every minute of it. My family's always had pets. From my first dog, Rocky, whom we adopted 2006, when I had only just learned how to walk. Adopting a rescue named Lulu in the few years following that (From the same Humane Society I Volunteer with now, as it happens!). My family got yet another dog, Jazzy in 2008, and a turtle around 4 years after that in 2012. In 2019, My father and I adopted a lovely rescue named Ember. Be they Nervous, Mouthy, Jumpy, or even if walking with them feels like they're going to pull your arm out of its socket, I have never met a dog that I didn't want to spend time giving attention. Helping Keep animals happy is something that I'd be content to do for the rest of my life.
Reviews

Elias was wonderful! Prompt, communicative, adjusted the walk time to better fit the weather when my dog wasn’t cooperating with the rain. Will definitely book Elias again!

Eli did a fantastic job with my dog, Spot! Eli showed up on time, paid close attention to details about caring for Spot, appeared genuinely interested in Spot’s personality and needs, was kind and caring while demonstrating an ability to manage Spot with safety in mind. I will definitely rebook with Eli!
