Obstacles (such as neighbors dogs) to be aware of? 2. Drop-In Visits – Quick check-ins for feeding, play, and relief. Anything specific such as medications? 3. Overnight Boarding – I do not currently provide overnight care at my house. 4. House Sitting – Is there a neighbor I can contact if needed? Are there any access notes such as door codes that I need to know? 5. Daycare – Preferred daytime supervision, play, and socialization. I look forward to caring for your pet - thank you!

I understand the importance of companionship, enrichment, and vigilance and seek to implement tools that provide those things to the highest standard, always.

Hi there! My journey in professional animal care began early, shadowing my mother in her animal behavior and care business. I gained hands-on experience with a wide range of species—including dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, cattle, goats, and rabbits—which shaped my understanding of how to meet animals where they are: emotionally, behaviorally, and physically. While I am not a licensed dog trainer, I’ve spent much of my life developing a thoughtful, intuitive approach to animal care. My professional background includes extensive training in wildlife handling and care techniques. During college, I volunteered at the Cascades Raptor Center in Eugene, assisting with the daily care and rehabilitation of birds of prey. Over the years, I’ve also provided pet care for friends and family, building trust through reliability, compassion, and a deep respect for each animal’s unique needs. Now, I’m excited to offer my experience and dedication to the local community. I’m Fear Free Certified for dogs, and while I’m not certified for cats or other animals, I apply many of the same principles across species: 🧘♀️ Creating low-stress environments 🐾 Respecting boundaries and body language 🛏️ Offering comfort, routine, and enrichment 🐕🦺 Using gentle handling and positive reinforcement In 2024, I worked with shelter animals at Greenhill Humane Society, where I received extensive behavioral training and advanced to independently care for dogs and support enrichment for cats. Elaina is the best! My dog has bad separation anxiety and she took great care of him. He got lots of one on one attention, play time, and exercise outside. I don’t feel secure with just any sitter, but I felt very relaxed knowing he was in great hands with Elania. 12/10 :)
