Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets by balancing structure with relationship-building. I focus on creating predictable routines, clear communication, and calm expectations while also prioritizing rapport, confidence, and emotional safety. I pay close attention to body language and stress signals and adjust care in real time to meet each pet where they are emotionally. Rather than forcing compliance, I help animals work through fear, overstimulation, or uncertainty at a pace they can handle. Whether in my home or a client’s home, my goal is to create a low-stress environment where pets feel safe, understood, and supported, which allows genuine progress and trust to develop. My pets at home enjoy structure along with play and lots of quiet time. My dog, Albany, enjoys finding hidden treats in a fenced backyard. My three cats, Duchess, Wanda, and Addie, enjoy plenty of naps, wand toy play time, and many hours of cuddling and watching tv.

Information Eliab F. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your animals has special needs. I have experience working with all types of behaviors (reactivity, fear, anxiety, separation anxiety, aggression). I also have experience working with animals with special needs that require extra care either for medical needs, or behavioral.
A typical day
I like to stimulate my dog with activities such as structured scent work, cue learning, and resilience training. I also work on her fear of strangers by doing practice meets to promote resilience in meeting strangers in and out of the home. For clients, I work with pet parents to identify the needs of each individual animal and we come up with a strategy tailored to their pets.

Behavior-Focused Care for Dogs/Cats
Pet care experience
I bring extensive professional experience in animal care and behavior, including years in shelter leadership and hands-on behavior work with fearful, anxious, and reactive animals. My background includes behavior assessment, stress reduction, enrichment planning, and individualized care for dogs who struggle with transitions, confinement, or unfamiliar people. I am especially comfortable working with dogs who need structure, patience, and clear communication rather than force or correction. I prioritize low stress handling, predictable routines, and meeting dogs where they are emotionally, not just physically. My goal is always to keep animals safe, supported, and understood while their people are away.

Reviews

Eli was punctual, his communication is excellent! He watched over my dog like I would have and put my mind at ease. He sent pictures and was overall an A+++ sitter! Highly recommend!
Eli is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and dog behavior, which gave us so much peace of mind. He is very trustworthy and clearly understands how to care for dogs in a thoughtful, attentive way. We felt completely confident leaving our dog in his care and would highly recommend him.
He is detail oriented, on-time and reliable, and genuinely loves the animals! He has cared for both my cats and my dog, and my dog was more well behaved when we returned from our trip! It's not easy vacationing away from our pets, but I would recommend him for anyone looking for a petsitter while traveling.
Eli has cared for my pets, including my special needs cats, and did a wonderful job. I received daily updates and pictures of each of my pets so I knew they were happy and well taken care of. He also has behavior experience from military working dogs and shelter dogs and had no problem caring for and walking my dog reactive dog. Highly recommend him!
