I was taught to meet the emotional needs of pets in my care, nurturing who they are. My dad trained dogs on our property; I learned to move in a way they understand. Because I work from home, I am able to be very attentive. Our yard is fully fenced; five responsible adults live here with us. A quick pandemic story: We had a Chihuahua-Papillon mix named Jacques Cousteau. One night home alone, I saw how much strain he had when eating his crunchy food. He was only a few pounds, and always a bit picky. Today, his food looked more like a Gobstopper. We drove straight to PetSmart, bought the highest quality, softest dog food they had. I remember the first time he tried his new food. He looked at his bowl, looked at me, looked back at his bowl... then, jumped off the chair where he eats, ran and jumped onto my lap, excitedly licking my whole face! Jacques gained a few more pounds in the next month or so, which made him much healthier than before we switched food! I loved seeing him happy, back to his old self again. My goal is to treat you and your pets like members of my family. Because it isn’t always easy to trust a stranger, it is more important than ever to be responsible for the lives we touch. We all deserve our deepest levels of care.
