Pet care experience
I am patient, calm and experienced
I am a vet student so I have spent time in vet practices looking after many different pets, especially dogs. I have also been dog sitting for friends and family for many years and I have my own 13 year old dog at home that I take care of. I have always had a love for dogs and am very knowledgeable in this area.

Ratings and reviews
I would highly recommend Elena. She is so so so good with my dog Mars, he is extremely overexcited and hard to walk so I appreciate her giving this service as it helps me out. Mars loves Elena and is always so happy to see her. Lovely person too. Just overall is fantastic xxxx
I’d be very happy to recommend Elena! I felt very confident that I was leaving my 4 month old puppy in safe and responsible hands. Booking and payment on the app was hassle free. Elena was really responsive with her messages which made the whole process of finding a sitter and organising a date nice and easy.

Elena was prompt in arriving! Chauncey was well looked after! Elena showed care and concern. How do I know it worked out? While my dog was happy upon my return, he hung out by Elena :) I will eailly rebook Elena, knowing my dog is in great hands

Elena was fantastic, she was accommodating, professional and Missy had a wonderful time. I was sent updates of how they were getting on, Missy’s medication was provided as required, she had long walks and was cared for very well. Definitely recommend Elena and will be booking again.

The stay with Elena resulted in our dog needing very serious emergency surgery thanks to her inattention while watching him and poor judgement on how to respond to any issues. During his stay Ferris was left unsupervised for an unknown amount of time with a bag of food in reach. As a result he ate some plastic bag and a silicone zip bag and she did not notify us until the next day approx 13 hours after it occured at which point he seemed very out of sorts and we took him to the emergency vet. Unfortunately because it had been left for so long there were now no options open to us except to watch and hope, had we known sooner we could have reviewed it with a vet and discussed other options such as seeing if he could vomit it back up before it left his stomach. Several other bits of plastic passed through him over the next days that Elena had not even notified us he had eaten and which could only have come from her home as he is watched 24/7 in our home by us and by pet cameras. Then a few days later the zip lock bag caused a blockage and he had to have a very lengthy, risky and costly emergency surgery with a difficult and stressful recovery period. We left Elena with two different contact numbers for us so she could easily have notified us when the incident happened and we may have had a different outcome. As his owners we should have been informed of any issues and able to be involved in decisions regarding his safety. In her own statements she has stated he was acting stressed and out of character during his stay which she also did not tell us so that we could consider bringing him home or offer advice on calming him, she messaged at the time to say he was absolutely fine so one of these things is a lie. It is unclear if Elena did not know what had happened due to not watching him when she should have been or if she really did decide that it was not anything to be concerned about. Either way it put Ferris in an extremely dangerous situation due to her poor judgement. She has been incredibly rude and dismissive of our concerns, told very mixed up stories in her reports back via rover so we do not know what to even believe and has not apologised or admitted any wrong doing despite this all happening on her watch and due to her lack of action. I am extremely shocked a vet student would act in such a concerning and unprofessional way with such disregard for animals in her care.

Highly recommended 👏👏 would use again 👏👏

Schedule
I am currently a student which means I spend a lot of time at home and therefore able to spend a lot of time looking after your pups! I also live very close to Sefton Park and regularly go for long walks so I am more than capable of going on lots of long walks too. My availability differed during the week but I am always available on the weekends.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced garden and currently no pets in the house. I also have a very large and open plan downstairs which would be suitable for larger dogs. I am also happy to stick to whatever rules you normally have in your home. I have experience with dogs who are difficult to walk on the lead, so that would not be a problem either.
