My animal care background runs deep: 8+ Years of Rescue Experience & Patient Care: I spent eight years volunteering with City Kitties Rescue in DC and The Cats at Longstreet. Through this work, I developed a strong understanding of animal body language, patience with shy pets, and a gentle touch for animals who need a peaceful environment to feel comfortable. Gentle Senior & Easygoing Routine Care: I love spending time with adult and senior pets who enjoy a relaxed pace, predictable routines, lots of affection, or simply lounging on the couch. I grew up with a Peekapoo and trained with the Animal Humane Society on gentle dog handling techniques. Schedule
My schedule is very flexible. I work part-time and remotely, which means I am home for the majority of the day and can give your pet plenty of individual attention, frequent potty breaks, and low-stress companionship. Because I work from my peaceful home environment, I can easily stick to your pet’s normal daily rhythm—whether that’s a midday backyard break, regular feeding times, or just having a cozy lap available while I work.

Whether caring for pets in my own home or visiting yours, safety, comfort, and respect for routine are my top priorities. In My Home (Boarding): I use a low-stress, step-by-step transition process for feline guests. Just like my rescue fosters, visiting cats start out in a cozy, dedicated space (like a private room) with all their essentials until they feel confident enough to explore the rest of the house at their own pace. For dogs, I maintain a secure, calm environment and ensure my backyard is fully supervised during outdoor breaks. In Your Home (Drop-Ins): I follow your exact instructions to keep your pet’s routine seamless. My visits typically begin with fresh food, water, and litter/potty care. Once their primary needs are met, I spend the remaining time providing gentle affection, low-key play, or simply quiet companionship—always ensuring your home is kept secure and key logistics are handled with complete accountability.

A typical day
Every day is tailored around your pet’s unique home routine to keep their stress low and their comfort high. Morning: We start the day with an early potty break or litter box refresh, followed by breakfast on their normal schedule. For dogs, we’ll enjoy a calm, leisurely neighborhood walk (or a peaceful stroll around my wild, wooded backyard!). Midday: Lots of quality companionship! Whether I am working from home or relaxing, your pet will have constant access to a comfortable spot, whether that means curling up in a cozy bed, lounging on my lap, or exploring the house at their own pace. Evening: After dinner and another potty break, the evening is dedicated to unhurried, low-stress wind-down time—plenty of ear scratches, couch lounging, and gentle affection before bed. Fun Activities We’ll Do Together Backyard "Sniffaris" & Exploring: For dogs who love to explore, my enclosed backyard is a great spot to wander, sniff the fresh air, and stretch their legs safely. Cozy Cat Play & Lounge Spots: For feline guests, I have a wide variety of cat toys, multiple litter box styles to match their comfort, cozy blankets, high-up window perches, and a cat condo perfect for lounging and bird watching. Cozy Lap & Couch Time: For seniors and chill adult pets, quality bonding time is all about peaceful lounging, gentle petting, and cozy naps. Mini Photo Shoots: I love capturing great photos! I’ll take sharp, well-lit portrait shots of your pet exploring or relaxing so you get fun, heartwarming updates throughout the day.

- To make sure your pet has the safest, most comfortable stay possible, I like to go over a few details before our first booking: Daily Routine & Schedules: Their preferred times for feeding, potty breaks, and bedtime, plus any favorite spots where they feel most comfortable napping or lounging. Temperament & Comfort Level: How they feel around new people, new environments, or other animals. I love knowing their unique quirks—like if they get shy around sudden sounds, prefer a quiet space to settle in, or love being a lap dog. Separation Anxiety & Barking: If your dog tends to bark when left alone or has separation anxiety, knowing this ahead of time helps me manage their environment and keep them calm. Feeding & House Rules: Any specific feeding preferences, treat restrictions, or house boundaries (e.g., allowed on furniture, kept off certain areas). Drop-Off/Pick-Up & Key Logistics: Clear timing expectations, emergency contact info, and any details on entry or key location for drop-in visits. Please note: To ensure I can give every guest the best possible care, I focus on easygoing, low-maintenance adult and senior pets who follow standard, routine care. I am unable to accept pets requiring complex medical care/injections, or high-energy puppies and kittens.
