Because I’m self-employed, my routine is really flexible which makes pet care easy to fit in. I can plan my days around walks, feeding times, and check-ins, so the dogs I’m looking after get proper attention rather than being squeezed in around a rigid schedule. I’m usually available throughout the week and can adapt depending on what’s needed.

I don’t host pets in my own home as I live in a flat, so I always care for dogs in their own home where they feel most comfortable and settled. I’m very respectful of people’s space and routines, and I always follow instructions closely so everything stays familiar for the dog. On walks and visits, I’m very safety-focused, keeping dogs secure, supervised, and comfortable at all times.

It’s really helpful to know their normal routine, how they are on walks, and anything that might make them nervous or extra excited. Also things like feeding instructions, medication, and any little quirks or habits they have, the more I know, the easier it is to keep things feeling normal and stress-free for them.
A typical day
I like to keep things nice and balanced depending on the dog, some enjoy playtime or enrichment games, others just want company and a chill day. There’s typically walks, and lots of little check-ins, attention, and cuddles in between.

Pet care experience
I’ve been dog sitting for friends, family, and through Rover, so I’m used to all sorts of dogs and personalities (and all the different routines that come with them!). I always try to keep things as normal as possible for them so they can just relax and do their usual thing while their owners are away. I’ve grown up around dogs and helped look after my family dog from puppy all the way through to 13, so I’m pretty used to everything from zoomies in the park to the slower let’s take our time senior strolls. I’m really calm and easygoing, and I just genuinely love being around dogs. I’m self-employed too, so my schedule is flexible which means I can properly be there for them and not rushing in and out. I just really enjoy it all, being outside, going on walks, and getting to know each dog’s little quirks. They all have their own personalities and it’s the best part of it really.

Elena was very prompt with arrival time, She did an excellent job with looking after Socks, feeding, regular visits outside for him to do his business, she also sent me video and updates that he was fine, When Elena went my pet (Socks) wanted to go with her. She was brilliant.
Elena has looked after my dog Brodie many times, he loves her! She walks him, feeds him, gives him lots of cuddles and sends me regular photo/video updates when I’m away. She has always been reliable, punctual, respectful and trustworthy - would recommend.
