Hi I'm Ellie! I’ve cared for dogs throughout my adult life and have spent many years walking and sitting dogs in both Northumberland and Cardiff. During a year of travelling in Asia, I continued pet sitting in Japan and volunteered for several months at a rescue shelter in Thailand, where I helped care for over 100 dogs, many of whom were nervous or had additional needs. That experience led me to rescuing my own dog from Thailand, who has been happily living with me in Northumberland since May 2024. I’m especially comfortable with rescue and anxious dogs and always take a calm, patient approach, allowing each dog to settle at their own pace. I’d love to meet you and your dog and help make their time with me relaxed, safe, and enjoyable. I'm fully insured, DBS checked and trained pet first.

I can offer dog walks and drop ins through the week as well as sits at the weekend. All dogs in my care are treated as my own, I'm experienced in walking all dogs including those who are reactive or nervous. I'll ensure dogs will be given stimulating and exciting walks or caring drop ins. Please do get in touch to discuss your dogs needs.

We used Ellie to look after our two dogs when we came to Northumberland for a family wedding. At the last minute our accommodation was cancelled and Ellie adapted brilliantly to the changes that resulted. Our dogs had a great day and we felt really happy with Ellie and the reliable service she provided.
Ellie did a great job of looking after my very nervous cat at home instead of using a cattery. I will definitely book her again and recommend her.
An amazing level of care and dedication to our animals whilst we were away. It is not easy to allow someone in your home and to care for your pets but Ellie was perfect. At our introductory meeting she asked asked the right questions to put us at ease and most importantly Blu and Buddy loved her. We will be back in touch with Ellie again soon, and so should you 10/10
Ellie is passionate about dogs, in particular, and animal welfare, more generally. Not only does she care deeply about the well-being of domestic pets and other animals, she is also a practical and sensible person who would take a pragmatic approach to looking after animals. Ellie has worked in an animal rescue shelter in Thailand where she adopted a one-eyed street dog who had had a difficult start in life. Ellie is a loving, caring and responsible pet caregiver. She can understand the needs of a variety of different dog and pet breeds and can provide an excellent tailored service to each pet. Schedule
I currently work part time in Hexham, I can complete drop ins / walks through the week or weekend and sits only at weekends. Availability below DROP IN / WALKS Monday to Thursday between 6am - 9.30am and 3pm - 10pm. Saturday and Sunday - Anytime SITS Anytime between Friday evening until Sunday evening
