Caring for pets like my own
As a teacher, I am naturally patient, reliable and caring, and I bring those same qualities to looking after animals. I absolutely adore pets and treat every animal as if they were my own. I do not have children, so my own dog is very much my baby, and I understand how important it is to find someone you can completely trust with your pet. I have experience caring for both cats and dogs, including looking after neighbours’ pets while they are away on holiday, regularly caring for my parents’ and sister’s pets, and dog walking for elderly neighbours. I am confident with animals of different ages and temperaments and always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable and loved. What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to every pet. I know every animal has their own routine, personality and needs, and I am happy to adapt to what makes them happiest. Whether that is long walks, lots of play and attention, or a calm and gentle approach for older or more nervous pets, I will always provide the same level of care that I would expect for my own dog.

Arlo had the best time staying with Eleanor, Mitch and Percy! He was so well cared for and Eleanor kept us updated regularly throughout his stay, which gave us complete peace of mind. The pick-up and drop-off was a brilliant added bonus and made everything really convenient. Arlo came home happy and clearly very comfortable after his stay. Eleanor is great! Floki had a great time staying at Eleanor's house! He was well looked after and cared for. Lots of lovely long walks and snuggles. We truly felt that floki was in safe hands.
Eleanor is extremely caring and always has any animal’s best interest at heart. She is very nurturing towards her own dog but has also cared for our dog whilst we have been away for the day or weekend. She has ensured that our dog has been entertained throughout the day and has taken her on lots of walks. Eleanor is our go to if we ever need someone to look after our dog as she always has a lovely time and Eleanor is a safe pair of hands so we never have any worries with leaving her with Eleanor. Eleanor also provides lots of updates!

Schedule
I currently have 6 weeks off over the summer holidays. Due to not having children, I can be incredibly flexible with pet care. I take my own dog for 3 walks a day anyway and enjoy physical activity.

Safety, trust & environment
I have one cavapoo boy dog who absolutely loves company. We have a lovely fenced garden that we will often play in, an endless supply of toys and even a small paddling pool for the summer hotter months.
Pets
A typical day
Dogs should be mentally and physically active and therefore I always make sure both are exercised. I absolutely adore playing games with dogs, researching the best enrichment games for their breed. With my own dog, he enjoys scent work and therefore I will regularly hide treats around the house and garden for him to find. With a Labrador I regularly look after, he enjoys retrieval work and learning new commands. On walks, the dogs will always have my full attention, I will engage with them and make sure they are able to sniff on their walks, as this is so important. I will take them on a variety of routes, including down to the Reabrook and splashing in the river (with your permission).
