Pet care experience

Loving, Attentive Care for Your Pup

I rescued my own 70lb husky–shepherd mix in 2023 and have hands-on experience with both 1:1 trainers and group classes, focusing on socialization, behavior, and trick training. That journey has given me strong skills with large, energetic dogs, reading body language, reinforcing calm behavior, and maintaining structure and routine. Before having my own dog, friends and neighbors regularly trusted me to care for their dogs in my home overnight, including dachshunds, spaniels, beagles, coonhounds, greyhounds, border collies, vizslas and cavapoos. I currently have three regular dogs that I look after when friends go away on vacation, and my dog loves the extra company! I’ve grown up around family dogs and truly understand the human–dog bond, offering patient, loving, and attentive care tailored to each dog’s needs.

Eleanor and Bear were great friends to my dog Momo while I was gone. Eleanor sent me updates and pictures of Momo and Bear playing every day - allowed me to rest easy on my trip!

Ellie was a fantastic host to our husky Pepper. She is extremely attentive and made sure that Pepper got enough daily exercise and also plenty of snuggles during their downtime. We love that Pepper gets along so well with Ellie’s sweet dog Bear. Overall our dog had a great time and would absolutely book with Ellie in the future. Highly recommend!

Ellie and her husband did such an incredible job looking after my nervous, large, rescued German Shepherd mix. My dog has a lot of issues with trusting new people and they were so patient and understanding with him. They helped work with me to make sure both of us were comfortable staying in a new place for the first time. She sent amazing updates and photos, communicated clearly, and addressed all of my concerns about leaving my timid dog in a new place. Their dog Bear was super well behaved and got along great with mine. I am so incredibly grateful for you guys helping to make sure Ballard was happy and comfortable in your home!

Eleanor was absolutely amazing with our pups while we were traveling internationally. She kept us at ease with consistent updates and lots of photos, which we really appreciated. It was clear they were in great hands the entire time. We’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a sitter!

Ellie is the most wonderful pet sitter and we are so lucky to have found her! She has cared for our furbaby Archie on many occasions and we know he is in good hands. Ellie is caring and dependable and always sends us just the right amount of updates on what is happening. Archie always comes back from his own vacation and with a huge smile on his face! I highly recommend Ellie to look after your pup!

Schedule

I work in tech with flexible hours and a hybrid schedule. I’m usually in the office Tuesday–Thursday, but only 20–30 minutes from home and can easily pop back if needed. I work from home the rest of the week, allowing plenty of time for walks, play, feeding, and companionship. I live just a 7-minute walk from Green Lake and regularly walk or run there with my own dog. Weekends are active and outdoorsy, including longer walks and local hikes—perfect for dogs who enjoy exercise and adventure.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a detached townhouse with a small, fully fenced yard that’s ideal for frequent potty breaks and relaxed outdoor time. Your dog will share the home with my friendly, well-socialized 2-year-old dog Bear who loves having company. I’m experienced with both large and small breeds and always prioritize structured, and attentive care. I’m happy to follow your dog’s routine closely and can easily crate your dog if needed for comfort or safety. My home is a calm, loving, and dog-focused environment.

A typical day

A typical day is a great balance of exercise, enrichment, and relaxation. We’ll start with a morning sniffy walk (often around Green Lake or surrounding neighborhoods), followed by breakfast and some calm downtime. Throughout the day, I mix in playtime and simple mental enrichment like training refreshers, puzzle toys, or enrichment chews, depending on your dog’s energy and preferences. Afternoons include snoozes, backyard potty breaks and lots of companionship while I’m working from home. Evenings are for a longer walk or run, dinner, and cozy wind-down time with cuddles on the sofa.

I love learning as much as possible about your dog so I can tailor their care. Please let me know about their routine, energy level, training cues, feeding schedule, and any medical needs, anxieties, or behavioral quirks. I’m experienced with both high-energy and more sensitive dogs, including those still working on socialisation or confidence. It’s also helpful to know how your dog does with other dogs, new environments, being left alone briefly, and whether they’re crate-trained. My goal is always to make your dog feel safe, understood, and at home.
