Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced garden including grass and hard standing as well as sun and shade. I don't have any pets of my own meaning your pet will get my full attention. I can accommodate your pet crate if required. Your dog will sleep in my large, well-lit utility room, which opens directly onto the garden. I usually place their bed under the breakfast bar overhang—it creates a cosy “den” effect that most dogs seem to enjoy (you’ll see this in the photos). This room is separated from the kitchen by a baby gate and is closed off at night or if your dog needs drying off after a walk. At other times, your dog will have access to the downstairs areas of the house and the garden under supervision. Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture, and there’s a baby gate at the bottom of the stairs. I live near the end of a peaceful cul-de-sac, with minimal traffic and distractions, and excellent access to traffic-free walking routes. There are local green spaces, shady woodland, and streams for dogs who love water, making walks both enriching and safe.

📋 What I Need From You To provide the best care possible, I ask that you provide written instructions in advance covering: • Feeding, walking, and toilet routines • Any known commands • Vet contact & insurance details • Records of latest vaccinations/flea and worming treatment and the next due date • Any behavioural quirks or important info Please also bring: • Food and water bowls • Food and treats • Toys, lead, harness (if used) - please note I need either a well fitting harness or a car carrier so I can safely transport your dog if required, including so I am prepared in the unlikely event of an emergency • Bed or crate (if applicable) • A towel I have my own treat bag and poo bags, so you don’t need to worry about those. ✅ What to Expect • I only board one dog at a time (unless you have two who live together), so your dog will receive all my attention. • I never let dogs off lead during boarding. • I send regular updates and photos, so you always know how your dog is doing. • My partner is an amateur photographer and enjoys taking photos of our guest dogs (some of which are in my profile) and I’m happy to share these with you after the stay. • If there are any behaviours or house rules you follow at home, I’ll reinforce them here to keep things consistent for your dog. 👋 Meet & Greet To make sure it’s a good fit for everyone, I follow a two-step meet-and-greet process: 1. Initial meeting – to get to know you and your dog. 2. Home visit – so you can see where your dog will stay, and meet my partner. I don’t accept bookings for new dogs unless both steps have been completed.

A typical day

Your dog will enjoy: • At least two walks per day (on lead only for safety). • Playtime in my enclosed garden. • Quiet time and cuddles indoors. • Grooming (if you provide brushes). • Mental stimulation and consistency with home routines. I’m happy to adapt feeding times, exercise, and other routines to mirror what your dog is used to, helping them feel relaxed and secure - let's discuss your dog's specific needs and preferences on the meet and greet.

Pet loving former Guide Dog Boarder

Pet care experience

Hi, I'm Eleanor! I offer one-to-one dog boarding in my calm, pet-free, child-free home in Chandler’s Ford. Your dog will receive my full attention and care in a peaceful, structured environment—just like part of the family. I'm fully licensed and insured, DBS checked and trained in canine first aid. I grew up on a farm with a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, budgies, a pony, and I’ve even hand-reared geese, orphaned lambs, and a pet cow. As an adult, I’ve cared for dogs through Guide Dogs (which required formal training) and regularly help friends with their dogs and cats. I understand how important it is to feel confident when leaving your dog in someone else's care. I aim to make every dog feel safe, loved, and at ease while you're away. If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you—feel free to message me with any questions or to set up a meet and greet.

What a brilliant experience we had with Eleanor and Raymond. This was the first time we have left our very high energy, crazy Labrador over night and he absolutely loved it. Both Eleanor and Raymond were so good with him. They took time to understand his needs and make it the most positive experience. Nothing seemed to faze them and it's very easy to see how much they love having dogs around. We feel incredibly lucky to have found them and Rosso is looking forward to more adventures with them.

We feel so lucky to have found Eleanor and Raymond. Our dog Bear had a short stay with them and they took exceptional care of him. We knew he was in the best of hands. We received regular photos and updates and you could tell he had become a member of the family. Everything about booking with Eleanor is 5 star - the communication, organisation, friendliness and care. Thank you!

Eleanor has been wonderful with my dog Stanley. She made sure he went for a nice walk to help him settle down, and let him socialise and meet other dogs while out. She and her partner played with Stanley at home, and he was happy, and relaxed when I went to pick him up❤️

This was the first time that Eleanor had looked after my dogs Holly and Ruby and I was extremely happy. Eleanor was very organised with pre-stay information and was very keen to understand the dogs’ normal routine etc to ensure a comfortable stay. She was calm and kind with the dogs and ensured I was kept updated with how they were alongside beautiful photos. I would absolutely recommend Eleanor. Thank you so much and Holly and Ruby are looking forward to their next stay.
