I work from home, and have a flexible routine meaning we have availability to look after dogs and cats 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

I have spent a long time planning my kennels to make them somewhere I would be happy to leave my own dogs. Therefore each kennel has a private heated and insulated sleeping area, as well as a covered individual run with lots of natural light. Dogs will have plenty of opportunity to explore our private farmland and woods while exercising. As standard I supply bedding, towels, leads, bowls and toys. However you are more than welcome to supply your own, as well as many other possessions you feel your dog will need while staying.

Please let me know as soon as possible if your dog has any special requests or requirements during their stay. I can offer shorter walks for elderly dogs, more frequent toilet breaks and basic training for puppies, and I specialise in looking after working dogs, where you can trust that non of your hard work training your dog will go out of the window while staying with me! I can offer individual walks to dogs who do not mix well in group settings.
A typical day
6:30-7:30 - Morning Walk 7:30 - 8:30 - Breakfast 10 - 10:30 - Outdoor playtime 12:30 - 13:00 - Lunchtime Walk 15 - 15:30 - Afternoon toilet break 16:30 - 17:30 - Evening Walk 17:30 - 18 - Dinner Time 21 - 22 - Bedtime walk and toilet All walks will be on our private farmland. This routine can be altered to your dogs needs.

Boarding Kennels are a small purpose built, family run dog boarding facility based on our family farm 10 miles west of Durham city. The kennels are run by Ellie, who has both owned and had a passion for dogs their entire lives. Ellie now has a small team of Cocker Spaniels who are gundog trained and love being out working during the shooting season. Being small scale and a dog owner myself, I can offer a bespoke boarding service to your dog, where they will be treated as one of my own. I welcome dogs of all sizes, ages and special requirements. Including puppies, elderly dogs, working dogs, entire males and unspayed females.

Really lovely & friendly. Sent us really nice updates each day. Asra (cat) loved her which is unusual as Asra is usually a very shy, skittish cat. Spent some time with Asra each day making sure she had food & water & was cared for. Overall, 10/10, Our cat approves so we approve.
Such a shame that there is a maximum of five stars that can be submitted. We felt such confidence leaving our two dogs boarding with Eleanor for 7 nights. Not only was the set up of kennels so professional, yet comfortable, it was obvious that the interest and love shown towards the dogs was genuine. Stellar. You will have to see for yourself - words are inadequate!
