I hang out at the local park on weekends just to play with dogs... Willing to run around outside with the most active of pups or lounge out with the pups who prefer to take it easy. While I never owned a dog, I have always dreamed of it. I have experience dog-sitting for family and friends. I am willing to accommodate any special needs or requests you may have. In addition to providing your dog with a great experience, I take responsibility very seriously. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have. Juno was so well taken care of and the photos sent each day made us feel much more at ease about leaving him with a new Rover. We had a weather delay on the way home and Elan was super accommodating and understanding. Book him!
Elan and Katie are the best! Honestly so happy we found them. Super easy to communicate with and coordinate drop off/pick-up! Finn can be a little anxious in new places, so I was definitely a bit worried heading into the weekend. But any nerves I had went away pretty quickly once the pictures and videos started rolling in. Finn looked so happy and relaxed! We'll 100% be back. Finn already misses them!
Luna had such a great stay with Elan! He was super communicative throughout the weekend sending many pics and updates. Luna had a fun time going on plenty of walks and relaxing. She came home in a really great mood. We’d definitely like to see Elan again 😊
If there is a perfect pet sitter, is Elan. He takes the time to understand your dog’s needs and tailors his care to them. Our dog is really high energy and Elan noticed that right away. He knew that lots of walks would help get the energy out which is exactly what he did. This truly is the best sitter experience we’ve had. Kept constant communication, sent lots of pictures, videos and plenty of updates. Our high energy pup came back super calm and seemed like he had a great time. We had so much peace of mind knowing our baby was in good hands. I would recommend Elan to anybody! He truly is the absolute best.
This was the first time we have left our dog with a Rover sitter at the Rover sitter‘s house in a long time. She is an older dog and is very certain in her ways so I was nervous about how she would do. Elan (and his fiancée) completely put me at ease and provided frequent communications and photos where I could tell our dog was happy, safe, and thriving. Elan was very flexible and accommodating with the pick up and drop off times and is a genuinely nice person. I would feel completely comfortable and confident with leaving our dog in his care again in the future.
Elan was awesome! He took great care of our Boone and gave us lots of updates with pics. Boone will miss him! But Boone looks forward to being able to stay with Elan again :).

Schedule
I like going out on long early morning and evening walks with my family and friends dogs. I also enjoy taking more abbreviated lunch walks

Safety, trust & environment
I pay close attention to what’s going on around me, and anything that might trigger alarm/fear in my family and friends dogs. If something seems off with the dog behaviorally, I will try to understand what’s causing it and judge how serious the situation might be.
A typical day
Walks and runs at Piedmont Park. Find nice shady spot to hang out during summer heat. Hanging out in the dog park with other puppy friends. Or casually strolling through Virginia Highland.
