Currently, with the yard not being fenced, leash walks will be provided. Familiar with and capable of providing any required medications if applicable. Can provide more frequent meal breaks (my Boxer has 3 meal breaks to help maintain weight).

What do you typically do with your dog that you would like to have available in their home away from home? What is their typical self-soothing technique when they are at home or in stressful situations? For example, my guy has squishy toys that he will go and get and they function like a soother for him. Please provide basic information on feeding/sleeping/play/training schedules that they are used to.

Happy to work on basic obedience and play time. Walks in greenspace and walking trails by my home as well as short day trips to add more experiences. Will go to known dog parks only with permission from owner. Structure and routine is what dogs need and that is what I provide to my own dog and cats.

Retired veterinarian with decades of experience with cats and dogs. I currently have my own dog (Boxer) who is great will all other dogs. Yard is not currently fenced but that project will be completed in 2026. So leash walks are provided. Home backs onto a green space so there are good opportunities for walks. I often plan day trips to provide additional walking experiences. I also have 2 Siamese cats in the home.

Elaine is a retired from practice veterinarian and has always owned pets, giving her years of experience with caring for animals of many shapes and sizes! She is kind, compassionate, and truly cares about the health and happiness of any animal she meets. Elaine has a high standard of care, and provides a clean, safe environment for pets to thrive. She will be a wonderful temporary caretaker for your pets and they will be happy to make a new friend along the way!
