If they're good with children, if they're good on a leash, how they interact with other dogs (large or small), favorite toys, how they react to cats, squirrels, etc., what they try to get away with that they're not supposed to be doing, whether they need more or less attention/exercise, if they are food/toy/people aggressive... you name it. :-) I love Shiba Inus and Corgis, just my preferences, but I love all dog breeds.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Our neighborhood is a solid combination of hills and flat surfaces, so we can do longer walks throughout the neighborhood, or if your pup can't handle that, we can just do shorter walks on my street and a few nearby streets. There is also a dog park just a half mile down the hill that I really enjoy taking dogs to, but please let me know the specifics of what your dog's park personality might be. :-) Your dog's sleeping arrangement My bedroom, on the floor or in our spare bedroom, accommodations can be made for various circumstances. Time I'll spend with your dog Pups get a 30-60 minute morning walk in the morning and 60+ minute walk immediately after work. We can discuss the finer details of how long your pet can be left alone via email. Most importantly, I will respect your home. I treat every home I visit as if it is my own. I keep spaces clean and organized, ensuring it is the same when you return as when you left. I am happy to have the opportunity to keep your pet at home, lessening pet anxiety and stress while you're away.

About this sitter: I've been house- and pet-sitting for over 10 years. I love having the opportunity to temporarily borrow your pets while you're out of town and care for your home - living with roommates for years on end can be wonderful, but the time away (especially when I work from home) can give me as much value as it gives to you! I'm a clean, respectful and accommodating person, happy to give you regular updates, do some cleaning around your house (if you would like), collect mail, etc. Hope to hear from you soon! I have house- and pet-sitting experience for all kinds of animals - chinchillas, Great Danes, chihuahuas, cats, cats with newborn kittens, rats, you name it. I started when I was in college and found that it's never too difficult to pick up an extra job here or there, which allows me to have great part-time pets! Why I love dog sitting I've always loved pets. As a child, we had a German Shepherd and a Husky. Both were wonderful parts of my childhood and growing up. Since then, I have lived with other dogs in every home I've had from Boston to Orlando to San Francisco. We currently have two dogs and two kitties in our home. Meet my pets Two indoor kitties (one of which is not fazed by ANY other animals, would be happy to meet your dog) and one who is usually tucked away and shy for the first several meetings. One German shepherd and one mutt who love to romp and play. About my yard if your dog is staying with me We do have a fenced-in backyard, but several daily walks will cover your dogs' exercise and outdoor play-time needs.

Elaine is great. She took care of our two boys while we were gone for almost two weeks! She even pilled our evil cat every day (Its not fun). She sent pictures and stayed in touch with us on a regular basis. I love that Elaine has the Verified Background Badge and the Trustcloud Badge. We knew after our first meeting that she was an animal person. She also took good care of our house. We would definitely use Elaine again.
