Doggy Auntie
I have always loved dogs and have owned several over the years. I was a veterinary nurse for many years before I became a registered nurse. When l was 55 (in 2020) I took early retirement and missed having a dog but didn't want to be tied down as I wanted to travel more. Dog boarding/sitting provided the perfect answer! I have been boarding dogs in my home for the past 6 years but also, now want to pet sit so l can travel more. I live in a beautiful village called Barrow upon Humber and there are many dog friendly walks around me. I have an enclosed garden with a foot wall and fence. I especially love dog walking on the beach as it goes for miles and you get to meet a lot of other dog walkers there and I love the many field and coastal walks near to me. I simply adore our 4 legged friends and life is just not the same without a dog!

I have know Elaine for the past 6 months in her role as a dog borrower for the Borrow my Doggy service. It is very evident that Elaine is a dog lover and is very experienced with managing dogs. She demonstrates positive reinforcement for managing behaviours and commands and my own dog settles very quickly in Elaine's home with no anxiety issues. Elaine will also look after a dog with the same routine as the owner at home. This includes the same sleeping arrangements. I would recommend Elaine to any dog owner looking for a reassuring excellent standard of care.
I would fully recommend Elaine C to look after your pet, she is by far the best I have come across who genuinely loves all dogs, & is very kind, caring, & very patient if you would like any help with training your pet, I can now go on holiday with ease knowing my ruby is in completely safe hands, ten out ten 👍

Schedule
I have a full assessment of every dog in my care and try and stick to their usual routine. I like to feed them after the morning walk then the rest of the day is spent having lots of love and cuddles. If they are happy to travel in my car l can take them out and about or leave them for a couple of hours with a treat and some music/TV on. I prefer small/Med size dogs that like a good walk then a relax afterwards.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a 6 foot fence around my garden and a hatch back car with dog seat belt so they can go in the hatch or on the back seat. I also have dog crates if they are used to them to save you bringing your own. I have dog bowls so would just need their bed, favourite toys, food and treats.
A typical day
I like to keep the dogs I care for in their normal routine so they feel at ease. I will send plenty of what's app videos or pics so owners can relax knowing that their pets are enjoying their doggy holiday!
