Loving family home, years of dog care experience
I’ve had dogs all my life, with our most recent, a Westie, living to the age of 15. I’ve also cared for a variety of pets, including rabbits, cats, guinea pigs, and even birds like parrots and cockatiels. My family and I regularly look after friends’ pets when they go on holiday, so we’re no strangers to providing a safe and happy environment for dogs and other animals. From puppies to senior dogs with special health needs, we’ve had experience with dogs of all ages. Although we don’t currently own a dog, I’ve trained several to follow basic commands like sit, stay, and recall. My experience spans over 40 years, and while I don’t have formal training, I’ve bred puppies in the past and always been deeply involved in dog care.

Edwin and his family did a wonderful job looking after our dog while we were on holiday! He sent us regular updates and gave us total peace of mind that Marcel was being well taken care of ☺️ even administering regular eye drops and offering to pick up more when we ran out. Our puppy had a great overnight stay with Edwin and family. She went on a few good walks and we appreciated getting photos of the fun she was having while we were away.

Schedule
Pet care fits seamlessly into our family’s daily routine. I work from home most days, allowing me to provide constant attention and company to your dog. I typically organise three walks a day – before the school run (around 8am), at lunchtime (noon), and after dinner (6:30pm) – but I can adjust this to suit your pet’s specific needs. My wife (Louise) also occasionally works from home, and we both enjoy walking and caring for dogs. Our children love to play and relax with pets, making them feel right at home. On days when I work offsite, I ensure my calendar is marked as unavailable. We’re also happy to provide care on weekends, evenings, or holidays – just give us at least a week’s notice when booking.

Our home is a calm, loving environment, perfect for your pet to relax in. The back garden is fully enclosed, allowing dogs to safely roam and enjoy the outdoors. Living in a friendly neighbourhood, I walk dogs around the local area and we’re just a 3-minute drive from the vet. I work from home most days, so there’s always someone around, and your dog will be treated as part of our family. With sofa snuggles, frequent walks, and the freedom to sleep in comfort, your pet will feel right at home.
A typical day
Your dog will enjoy three walks a day – in the morning (45-60 minutes), lunchtime and evening (approx 30 minutes) but will have access to our fully enclosed garden anytime required. At weekends, we go on extended walks to Wythenshawe Park or along the River Mersey, offering plenty of exercise and adventure (1-2 hours). The kids love to play with dogs after school, and your pet will be fully involved in our family life. Whether it’s exploring new places or relaxing on the sofa, your dog will have an enriching, enjoyable day.
