Ed stressed me out. I tried to book him for 5 visits of 30 minutes to take care of my cat over the Christmas holiday. He changed the booking to 60-minute visits, guilting me that my cat would be stressed without me and I had booked an insufficient amount of time. He never actually spent 60 minutes with my cat. On the first visit, he was 8.5 hours later, visiting at 6 pm instead of 8:30 am. When I reached out around noon that day to see what the delay was, he started the check-in and said he had just arrived at my apartment by coincidence. He didn't end the check-in until after 6 pm and the photos of my cat were timestamped at around 6 pm. The next day, he didn't show up at all. He said he did, but recycled the photos from day 1, including photos of my cat with date stamps of the previous day. On day 3, he at least arrived in the morning and stayed for an hour, but he did not interact with my cat for that hour - maybe 5 minutes maximum. His photo of the litter box showed 2 poops, further proof that he had skipped the previous day. He lied about building rapport with my cat, because on day 4 he was unable to find him in the apartment, and he looked for about 2 hours. My cat has never hid from a cat sitter before. So on 2 of the 5 days that Ed cat sat, I received no proof of life. Day 5 was fine, but again, he did not stay for an hour and did not interact with my cat for an hour. The next day, he was supposed to drop off the key in the afternoon. He no-showed or canceled/rescheduled for the next 3 days until I told him that was not acceptable and he had to return the key. He sent me a message that he had returned the key through my mail slot, but it was not there and I panicked that he had put my key through the mail slot of a different building. I opened the mail slot to see if it had gotten stuck and Ed was standing there. He asked me to open the door. I refused and told him to just put the key through the slot as we had discussed. He finally did so and had no explanation for me as to why he said he had returned the key when he hadn't yet done so. During the caretaking period, he mixed in his food garbage with my paper bag of recycling and put the recycling bag into my garbage can. I was so stressed out, I thought I might have to change my return flight to come home sooner to ensure my cat was receiving proper care. I ended up making specific photo requests so that Ed could not repeat photos and pretend to show up when he had not. Very stressful and extra expensive for no good reason. I will never trust Ed with my cat or my space again.

Ed was fantastic with Dakota over the holiday season! He took her on long, thoughtful walks and made sure she got plenty of exercise. I really appreciated all the updates and photos—super reassuring while I was away. Dakota clearly loved her time with him. Highly recommend Ed and would absolutely book with him again!
