Precious Pet 🐾
I’m a Pre-K teacher and lifelong animal lover with experience volunteering at a local dog shelter. After caring for my Shih Tzu, Precious, for 14 years, I created Precious Pet in his memory. Caring for dogs genuinely makes me happy, and I love giving them the same patience, affection, and attention I gave my own. I provide small-scale boarding for small dogs up to 25 lbs, with no more than two dogs at a time. Dogs receive walks, playtime, affection, and plenty of individual attention. Monday through Friday, I’m away from approximately 7:30 AM–3:15 PM while teaching. Dogs are fed, taken out, and settled before I leave, and I return home shortly after work to continue their routine. For everyone’s safety, dogs must be current on rabies, parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations. I also strongly recommend flea prevention such as Bravecto. Fleas can be picked up anywhere dogs share outdoor spaces or interact with other pets, so prevention is an important part of boarding. If your dog has already been seen by your veterinarian, you can usually call the vet and pick up Bravecto without making an appointment.

Ebony was absolutely amazing with Deuce! She was reliable, kind, and kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which really gave me peace of mind. Schedule
I’m a Pre-K teacher and work Monday through Friday. I leave at 7:30am and get back home at 3:15pm. Before I leave, dogs are fed, taken outside, and settled comfortably. I return home shortly after work for potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. On weekends, I’m home more throughout the day and have even more time to spend with your pup.

Safety, trust & environment
In my home, I tailor my care to each pet’s individual needs while keeping safety my top priority. I have a designated dog area in my apartment, secured with a dog gate, where dogs can relax comfortably or play with each other between activities. Dogs are taken outside for potty breaks three times a day. At night, dogs either sleep in a crate or within the gated dog area, depending on the owner’s preference and the dog’s comfort level. I provide fresh water at all times and individual attention, including medication administration if needed. Playtime can be solo or shared with another friendly dog, based on the owner’s request.
A typical day
Dogs in my care enjoy three regular potty breaks, and supervised outdoor time in my building’s fenced dog aren’t. With an owner’s permission, I may sometimes take dogs to a dog park just a couple of blocks away for extra exercise and socialization. I always adjust activities for senior pets or those with special needs to ensure they stay comfortable and engaged.
