Pet care experience
Biologist and lifelong animal fan
I became a biology professor because I have always loved animals of all kinds. My schedule includes lots of “work from home” time, and I truly enjoy supporting clients and their pets with compassionate and enthusiastic pet care. My home has a fenced yard along the river - it’s perfect for supervised playtime with dogs that are accustomed to being off leash in secure areas. Couch potatoes are also welcome, and can be kept on leash for our walks in my quiet/low-traffic neighborhood. In addition to dogs of all kinds and personalities, I have also cared for many cats, birds, and bunnies in clients’ homes. I really enjoy learning their personalities and helping clients know their bffs are safe and well cared for.

Ratings and reviews
Eben was great with my pup Sapphire! He sent many daily updates and pictures, I will surely use his services when I’m in town!

Eben is a very kind and wonderful person. My pets were so relaxed and calm with him around and he was super nice of him. Keep sending me pictures periodically

My senior dogs were well taken care of.

Eben is the best! Has a house with a yard, loves big dogs. A great dog sitter and great person, highly recommend

I was anxious to leave Buster for our trip but Eben provided so much relief with outstanding care for our pup and wonderful communication. We had so much peace of mind knowing he was in such loving hands!

Eben took care of our dog, Max, for a week and we received regular, detailed updates while we were away. Eben was very patient with Max, gave him 1:1 attention and took the time to really understand him. Highly recommend Eben!

Schedule
I work self-set hours outside the academic year (i.e. during summer, spring, and winter breaks). During the semester I have college teaching duties about 20yrs/week; the days and times change each term but I’m usually free for early morning, late afternoon, or night time visits walks or caregiving in my home.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have a large fenced yard on the waterfront in wilton manors. I have cared for dogs, cats, birds and bunnies in clients’ homes. Your animal is more than a chore for me- I try to learn to read their needs, keep them happy/comfortable/safe and help them get through missing you with treats pets, kindness, excercise, or whatever they need (per your guidelines).
A typical day
If dogs can be left supervised off leash, then we will definitely make the rounds in my backyard. Lots and lots of things to see and sniff amongst the many trees and waterfront dock. Otherwise we will enjoy some Netflix and chill time- but I get to pick the show :). For drop ins, we’ll do whatever you and your pets need and want.
