My family adopted two golden retrievers when I was just 3 years old. Those two dogs gave me so much love and taught me an enormous amount about how great dogs can be. They also taught me how difficult but satisfying it can be to take care of them. I respect the fact that each dog is different, but I treat every single dog like it was one of my own. My dogs have passed on and I live in a house now; and my wife and I have rescued three cats and two black mouth cur pups, and I feel lucky that I am able to spend so much time with them. While I was in college, I volunteered 20 hours a week at the Second Chance Pet Rescue making sure dogs were walked, fed, up to date on medications, and keeping the kennels clean. I would love the chance to interact with and love as many dogs as I can and help people know that their pups are in very good hands.
