Dylan & Carmela can care for
Availability
Pet care fits easily into our schedules. Though Dylan works full time, he works from home every other week and will be with your pet full time when he works from home. He also has a consistent schedule which ensures he can be with your pet every day. Carmela is a casual nurse with a flexible schedule, and will work a few night or day shifts each week, which means that she can spend a lot of time with your pets and work around Dylan's shifts.

Information Dylan & Carmela P. would like to know about your pet
For us to be able to provide the best care, we need to know some details such as medication and feeding times/amounts, typical routines, and special needs. We would love to be able to meet your pet before our booking to make sure they are comfortable once we start to take care of them.
A typical day
We start the day early and can get your pet fed early. We will take care of any medication or special needs for the morning right away and then can take your pet for a walk if needed before starting our work for the day. If Dylan is working from home or if Carmela doesn’t have a shift, we will hang out with your pet during the day and can give them attention sporadically as well as let them out for potty breaks when needed. One of us can also walk your dog at lunch. After work, your pet will be fed again and any evening medications/routines can be done. We typically hang around the house at night and are happy to spend some time giving your pet some attention while we hang out. As we get ready for bed, we will take care of any special night time routines for your pet!

Pet care experience
There are two of us so we can provide the best care possible for your pets. Dylan is an engineer who works from home every other week, and Carmela is a nurse who has both day and night shifts. Between the two of us, someone will almost always be with your pet! We have both grown up around animals and have had our own dog and cat in the past so we are very experienced with taking care of animals. We are both organized and detail oriented so we can make sure that your pet gets the best care and that updates are provided to you as frequently as you would like. On top of that, we have both done a lot of house/pet sitting for family in the past and are very clean and tidy and will treat your home and pet with respect.

There's a special word to describe Dylan and Carmela, this word is kahu. It means protector, guardian and honoured attendant of pets. They were instrumental in keeping the stress of leaving home to be with my husband in a hospital hours away. They took time to be the replacements and treated Loki like platinum. We cannot recommend Dylan and Carmela highly enough! They have been absolutely fantastic on numerous occasions with our three senior dogs, who each have their own quirks and needs. From the very first meeting, it was clear that Dylan and Carmela both have a genuine love for animals and calm, caring demeanors that immediately put both us and our dogs at ease. Our senior pups require extra patience and care, including following specific routines, and Dylan and Carmela handled everything flawlessly. They provided regular updates with photos and messages, which reassured us that our fur babies were happy, healthy, and well cared for. It’s rare to find someone who treats your pets like their own, but Dylan and Carmela truly go above and beyond. We came home to three very content dogs and could tell they had been in the best hands. Dylan has cared for our three small senior dawgs numerous times over the years including long extended periods of over 4 weeks. The three dawgs are a bit of a handful and Dylan has been great with them making sure they are fed, have water, get their walks, and of course get their cuddles. The dawgs are always very excited to see him and we feel very comfortable leaving on our vacation with the dawgs in good hands. Dylan is also very responsible and does a great job taking care of the house. This includes some yard work on longer care and the house is always kept neat and clean. We have complete confidence leaving our needy dawgs with Dylan.
We have had Dylan and Carmela watch our dog numerous times and it has always been a great experience as they are highly responsible with Winston’s feeding schedule, medicine administration and walks..Winston is always very excited when he sees them and has a great time with his buddies! We would highly recommend them!
