Duncan was great with our dogs who can be a handful. He also tolerated us moving house around him very well and was easy to communicate with.

Duncan looked after our Golden Retriever Callie, in his own home and we couldn't have been happier with the care she received. Callie had only recently come to us through a rescue organisation and like many rescue dogs she had some challenges. She could be reactive to other dogs, surrounfing activity and being a strong dog, she tended to pull on the lead. From the moment we met Duncan, it was clear he was knowledgeable, patient, kind and gentle. He understood exactly how to handle and manage a reactive dog and approached Callie with calm confidence and compassion. He has a very natural connection with animals and it was wonderful to see how settled and comfortable Callie was with him. Duncan truly provided home from home experience and knowing that Callie was happy and well cared for gave us complete peace of mind. We are incredibly grateful for the care and understanding he showed her and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and experienced pet sitter, especially dogs with additional needs.

Duncan and I have been very close friends for nearly 30 years! In 1999 we trained together as youth workers. Duncan is very trustworthy, honest, caring and responsible. Duncan is very socially conscious, having worked as a social worker for many years. During Covid Duncan became a key member of the local community support hub, and rescued, housed and then re-homed a dog whose owners who could no longer meet its complex needs. Over the years Duncan has had dogs himself and has often looked after my dogs and home when I’ve been away. Being a great communicator and being very sensitive make Duncan a great pet carer and I highly recommend him, whatever the situation.
