Loving, Reliable Care for your Pets
Hello! We are caring, passionate animal lovers with the softest spot especially for dogs. Between us we’ve had a lab/staff rescue dog called Shadow, and currently have a friendly, crazy mini golden doodle (from a pup) that literally loves anything that moves! We live in a large detached house with spacious indoor areas and a good sized secure garden, fenced and gated. We also have bucket loads of experience caring for various breeds of dogs, especially those with nervous dispositions, high energy needs and seniors. We understand how hard it is trusting your most precious bundle with anyone but yourself, and strive to provide a home from home environment where your dog feels totally loved and safe. When they stay with us they are truly part of the family and will have total freedom to roam around, while being supervised all day (and night if staying) with one or other of us home at all times. We know every dog is different and will work with you to provide the care and routine that you feel suits your dog best. Patience is our speciality and you can rest assured a stress free stay, enriched with plenty of fun walks and playtime, quiet resting spaces when needed and oodles of cuddles. Whether you’re heading away for a weekend, holiday or just need a helping hand during a busy week, we’re here to give your dog all the care, attention, and love they deserve, and you’ll have total peace of mind.

Duncan has looked after our two dogs many times (both are rescues who can be nervous around other people) and has always been brilliant with them. He’s patient, caring, and clearly loves being around animals. Despite their nervous nature, they took to him very quickly, and he took the time to build their trust. We always felt completely comfortable knowing they were in his care. He’s reliable, friendly, and the sort of person you can trust to treat your pets as if they were his own. I’d definitely recommend Duncan to anyone looking for someone to care for their pets.

Schedule
As Kyla works from home, your dog will enjoy constant companionship and supervision throughout the day no long periods left alone. This means plenty of attention, reassurance, and care, especially for dogs who thrive on human company or may feel anxious when left. Our day is naturally structured around regular breaks, which we use for walks, toilet breaks, playtime, and enrichment. Whether your dog loves energetic walks or prefers a slower pace and lots of cuddles, we adapt to suit their needs. Throughout the day, your pet can relax in a calm home environment, nap comfortably, or stay close to Kyla while she works many dogs love having that steady presence nearby. We keep to your dog’s usual routine as much as possible, including feeding times, walk schedules, and any specific habits, so they feel settled and at home. In short: lots of company, regular exercise, and a calm, loving environment all day long

A typical day
A typical day starts with a local walk, plenty of sniffs and fresh air, (length of walks can be discussed according to your dogs needs), followed by breakfast and some cuddles and play before the work day begins ( Kyla works from home). In summer the doors are open with access to the garden, or if preferable, a quiet space in the house is always available, or a cosy bed in the office if your dog likes company. Lunchtime walk, more cuddles etc… When Duncan is home the real fun begins with tug games, ball games or just snuggles on the sofa. Evening walk, dinner then settling down time before bed!
