Your dog walker's dog walker

Hi, I’m Drew! I absolutely love dogs and all their adorable, playful personalities. No two pups are alike, and I truly believe each one has a silly side they love to share with those they trust. As a dog walker and sitter, my goal is to determine what makes each dog feel comfortable and help them thrive in their environment. I always aim to make the dogs (and other animals) I care for feel at home with me, while providing owners with peace of mind and a sense of safety when they are away from their furry friends. My experience with animals began early, thanks to my own pets, and has continued to grow through my work with Rover. Growing up, my dad was in the K-9 unit, so our German Shepherd became part of the family. I also helped care for a few more dogs, feeding, bathing, and training them. Volunteering at a no-kill shelter was a wonderful experience, where I cared for dogs that needed extra love—feeding, bathing, and helping them feel better. Beyond dogs, I’ve loved taking care of pet lovebirds and a chinchilla. My mom has always loved turtles, so I cared for a pair of box turtles and 8-10 red-eared sliders. Looking back, it may seem a bit eclectic, but it was just a typical day for us. I’ve always been curious about animals and their unique traits and habits. Whenever I meet a new animal, I’m excited and patient, eager to learn how to care for them the right way. Spending hours at the zoo is always a joy for me! All of this has made me open and eager to care for all kinds of pets on Rover. Why not? Every animal deserves love and good care, and I'm happy to be the person to provide that. I'm really looking forward to meeting more dogs and animals! Each pet I care for teaches me something new, and I cherish the special connections I’ve made so far. These experiences inspire me to become the best caretaker I can be, and also to be the best person I can be. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friends!

Drew has been walking my Labrador several times now and is an exceptional dog walker. He communicates well and arrives within my allowable walk window. I will continue working with him.

Drew was so great watching my two pups while out was out of town on a work trip. He provided amble photos throughout the day so I knew what they were up to and that they were being appropriately spoiled. He left my apartment clean when he left and provided an overall high level of service.

Drew is amazing! I had a hectic travel schedule with some last-minute changes, and Drew was incredibly accommodating and flexible through it all. He sent frequent photo updates of my girls, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. I came home to very happy girls—I’ll definitely be booking with him again!

Safety, trust & environment

My two-level apartment features a ground floor designated for pet sitting and care, while the basement provides extra space for crates, cages, and a playpen. I can tailor the routine to meet your pet's needs with your guidance, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience—just like any typical day—under my expert supervision. Wherever your pet stays, they'll feel entirely at home.

Pets

A typical day

During your stay with me, your dog will receive the highest level of care and attention. We will stay active by exploring the local area and discovering new scents together. One of my favorite places to take dogs is St. Nicholas Park, which features various trails and beautiful, leafy trees. It’s a lovely walk, and at the park's center, there’s a small designated area where local dogs come to play and socialize. I have often enjoyed visiting there with other dog owners! Your dog can expect three to four walks each day, or a run if they prefer. After every walk, they'll receive a treat, a belly rub, cuddles, or a meal—whatever they need. I am here to meet all your dog's needs. I also enjoy socializing with other dogs, so with your permission, we can meet new friends around the city. Rest assured, I supervise all interactions closely to ensure your dog's safety. Their safety is my top priority, and I will only engage in activities where they feel at ease.

Prior to a stay, I prefer to arrange a meet-and-greet to facilitate a better understanding of you and your canine companion. It is crucial that we establish a strong compatibility. I aim to familiarize myself with your dog's typical schedule and routine, as well as any pertinent medical conditions or behavioral patterns. Furthermore, I embrace all breeds, sizes, and temperaments of dogs, and I maintain an inclusive approach to pet care.
