Safety, trust & environment

Unlike traditional kennels, your dog won't spend the majority of the day in the crate and will have lots of one-on-one time with me. I require a behavioral evaluation before booking any new dog. Please don't let this scare you from contacting me! It's more about discovering personality and preferences than it is some sort of pass or fail :) It's most important so that I may be careful to match the temperaments of all dogs staying on a given day, week, etc. I have one small dog who enjoys/respects dogs of ALL sizes and temperaments. Indoors: The "canine camp" is on the ground level of my home with a fridge, freezer, microwave, sink, and laundry for food and bedding. The space is air conditioned with natural light and always under video surveillance, so that I can have eyes on the pups when I have to step away. I often have separation anxious dogs and will sleep with the dogs when necessary or preferred. I also have the ability to separate the dogs with gates if there is a need for separation or a preference for private accommodation. I can use crates, but only do so if you request. Outdoors: There is a walkout to the backyard, which eliminates the need for stairs, which can be helpful or necessary for senior dogs or dogs with joint issues. The backyard is sizable, but manageable, and extremely shaded with mature trees for those extra hot days. I always have fresh water out. On dry days, we will likely be outside more than inside! ***Please ask about swimming pool upgrades, as I have access to my parents pool that is just a 15 min drive away! I have taught MANY dogs to swim over the years!***

Information Drew M. would like to know about your pet

I am passionate about making dogs feel comfortable, safe, secure, and happy when you can’t be there. Please make me aware of any special concerns or quirks your dog may have, so that I can make adjustments accordingly. These things include but are not limited to: routines; likes; dislikes; energy level; phobias; anxieties; aversions; dominance; aggression; separation anxiety; destructivity; resource guarding; allergies; medications; health conditions. -Local dog law requires that I keep a record of current rabies certificate and county dog license for all the dogs in my care. I require proof of current vaccination for rabies, bordetella, and distemper combo.

A typical day

Unlike most commercial kennels, I provide lots of one-on-one time, treats, exercise, and REGULAR PHOTO UPDATES, all complimentary. I DO NOT charge additional and a la carte fees. I even provide complimentary dental bones (Wellness Whimzees) Dogs can expect lots of playtime in my shaded, fenced-in yard and indoor play and nap time too! Let’s chat so that I can get familiar with your dog’s likes and dislikes, any possible anxieties or phobias, and any routines they may have so that I can match and mirror as best as possible when you can't be there with them.

Welcome to Comfy Canine Camp!

Pet care experience

Hello, I'm Drew! I'm a pet care professional and owner of Comfy Canine Camp, which is a non-commercial day camp and overnight pet hotel in Malvern, PA. This is a full time job for me that has really become a lifestyle. I am also a real estate agent, which affords me to be home with the dogs most of the time, which I love! My fiance, Bryan, lives here and helps out on a rare occasion, but we don't have any children in the house, nor any other types of animals (apart from aquarium fish!) -Established in 2018 -2025 Pennsylvania Kennel License # 18897 -Fully Business Insured -Fully fenced in yard -Cat free home -Child free home -Stair-free floorplan (ideal for old/sick/arthritic pups) -One 10-year old 20 lb pug mix resident (who is dog-friendly to dogs of ALL sizes!) -One 3-month old 15 lb border collie mix resident (who is dog-friendly to dogs of ALL sizes!) -Located just 2-3 miles away from both VRC and Blue Pearl Emergency vets *Many of my clients have dogs who prefer or thrive in a smaller environments for a variety of reasons. Ever since I was a small child, I have had an innate passion for animals. I have years of firsthand experience loving, caring for, and training my own 10 year old dog from puppyhood. To me, there is no greater feeling than building and maintaining that mutual respect, connection, trust and bond with dogs. Dogs are referred to as humankind's best friend because they enrich our lives. I am here to help you enrich your dog's life and add value to you and your entire family. To that end, I have a flexible schedule. I am reliable, compassionate, conscientious, and trustworthy. I am passionate about making dogs feel comfortable, safe, secure, and happy when you can’t be there. I'm excited to form working relationships and friendships with you and your dog(s). I’ll be sure to have your dog tuckered out, so that after a long day at work, or after a long vacation, so you can just relax together.

Drew is a rockstar! He was able to take in my dog on last minute notice, and she had an awesome experience. He cares deeply for all the dogs he boards, and has a great setup for them all to run around, play together, and get good sleep, food, water etc. Drew’s kindness and flexibility was much appreciated, as i needed ti extend my business trip by an extra day and he accommodated without issue. Super communicative with photos and updates throughout the stay. I will definitely use Drew for future boardings and highly recommend him!

Drew was great! He's excellent at communicating and he was flexible with any last minute changes. My dog had a blast and he came home very tired. Drew will love your pet as if it's his own. 10 out of 10!!!!
