Dog-Friendly Home Away from Home
I’ve been caring for animals for 20+ years. Part of my household chores included feeding and walking my family dogs daily and bathing them weekly. I also ran a small dog care service business in middle/high school for my neighborhood. My partner, Matt, and I currently have 2 rescue pups that are our world, ages 10 and 8. They’re very friendly, social girls that are great at matching energy. They’ve been well socialized growing up so they get along with most other dogs. Matt and I spend at least 2 hours outside with them each day to get them some exercise and enrichment. Some of our favorite activities include long walks, hiking, swimming, and cuddling. Plus, they can’t get enough of the ball!

Schedule
I work full-time and Matt works hybrid, so the pups we care for need to be okay with being left for 4-6 hours. On days we both go in, we provide go on morning and evening walks, usually totaling about 3 miles.

Safety, trust & environment
We live in the beautiful Lower Mills neighborhood, just a short walk to the Neponset River walking trail. We also have a small fenced backyard for late night zoomies and bathroom breaks. Our usual hiking spot is Blue Hill Reservation.
Pets
A typical day
We love to provide both physical and mental stimulation for dogs we care for! In addition to regular walks, we have multiple puzzles to get keep their minds sharp.
