My life revolves around helping dogs live happier, fuller lives. When dogs stay with me we begin our dogs with a stroll through the trails of our wooded property before settling down with a chew or frozen project. Depending on the dog there may be some short, fun, training sessions, play time with my dogs, or play time with me before their afternoon naptime. In the evenings we set out on another walk or adventure to a nature preserve.

I have a fully fenced back yard space where dogs are able to potty and play off-leash. Additionally we have trails throughout our property where dogs get to enjoy lovely walks on a long-line. Dogs are crated overnight. I have the ability to either crate them next to my own dogs for company, or to set them up in their own "private suite" where they don't need to worry about other dogs being close to them while they rest. I do require all clients to leave me with their current veterinarian's contact information and emergency contact details should something unexpected happen. I want you to feel confident that your pet's health and safety is taken seriously during their vacation with me.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or concerns (i.e. chases cats, cars or gets worked up when their see other dogs). This helps me better prepare for supporting your dog on outdoor adventures. Additionally, any of your pet's preferences or dislikes can help me help them feel more at home here! Does your dog LOVE their booty scratches? Is one of their favorite activities ripping up the cardboard toilet paper rolls? Do they get nervous when people or dogs walk past them while they're chewing on something? Do loud sounds make them worried? The more I know, the more prepared I can be to immediatly assist them or help them feel known.

When dogs stay with me we begin our dogs with a stroll through the trails of our wooded property before settling down with a chew or frozen project. Depending on the dog there may be some short, fun, training sessions, play time with my dogs, or play time with me before their afternoon naptime. In the evenings we set out on another walk or adventure to a nature preserve. My goal is to help you meet your dog's behavioral health needs! That looks a little different for each dog but many benefit from the addition of a long line sniffy walk where they can stretch their legs and smell all the smells! During overnight stays your dog becomes part of my family and gets to participate in training time, relaxation time, hikes, walks, and various play (human and dog opprotunities) and enrichment games.

I take great pride in caring for dogs to the best of my ability. I want to be the kind of pet caretaker that I would hire for my own dogs. Someone who supervises the dogs under their care at all times while outdoors, who can read canine body language to know what a dog is enjoying and when they might be uncomfortable, who gives dogs structured sniff and explore time in the great outdoors, and who can provide regular updates. My clients feel that I do an excellent job living up to that expectation. Due to my years of experience both as a dog trainer and a behavior consultant, I am the ideal pet sitter for young puppies who need extra care, guidance, and supervision. In our meet and greet for puppies we will discuss your desired household rules and goals so that I can maintain those rules and skills during their stay with me. Puppies also have the opprotunity to learn important social and play skills from my appropriate, mature dogs. In addition to puppies, I also take great care with my "reactive" friends. Especially when it comes to walking and adventure time. I have the skills and knowledge to support reactive dogs getting their walks in without rehearsing reactive behavior. This can ensure that your dog still gets to adventure without trending backwards in your behavior goals. I know how important daily exercise and sniffing time is for the wellbeing of all dogs, but especially for puppies and our reactive dogs. I love spending time with dogs and getting to know all the wonderful things that they find joy in and those fun personality traits that make them unique!

Dresden is the best! My old girl needs a lot of things done a particular way and I was very nervous to leave her in someone else's hands, but Dresden immediately won her over and followed every request to a t. He clearly knows his stuff and went above and beyond. It's such a relief to be able to trust someone with her when I'm out of town.
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m extremely picky about who takes care of my dogs- there are probably five people in the world I trust them with, and Dresden is at the top of the list! I always know that they’re in the safest hands when they’re with him.
