About Drae S.

Safety, trust & environment

All care takes place in your home; the environment where your companion feels safest, most comfortable, and most like themselves. I never rush a visit, never force an interaction, and never use aversive tools or methods of any kind. Every companion is met exactly where they are, with patience, curiosity, and genuine respect for who they are as an individual. I carry your veterinarian's information on every visit and am trained to respond calmly and effectively in the event of a medical emergency. Your home is treated with the same care and respect as my own; always left exactly as I found it, and often a little tidier. After every visit you will receive a detailed report card with photos so you always know exactly how your companion is doing. When you welcome me into your home, you are not getting a stranger with an app. You are getting a decade of experience, a genuine love for every individual in my care, and a professional who takes the trust you place in me seriously.

Information Drae S. would like to know about your pet

The more I know, the better I can show up. Before any services begin I ask every family to complete a thorough profile covering everything relevant to their companion's care. A few things that are especially important to me includes: Behavioral History: Any bite history, reactivity triggers, fear responses, or past trauma. I specialize in anxious and reactive companions and knowing their history helps me approach every interaction with the right level of care and awareness. Medical Needs: Current medications, dosing instructions, known allergies, recent injuries or conditions, and your veterinarian's contact information. I am trained in Pet First Aid and CPR and take medical preparedness seriously. Daily Routine: Feeding times, potty schedules, sleep habits, and any rituals that matter to your companion. Consistency is deeply comforting for animals and I work hard to honor the routines already in place. Communication Style: How your companion communicates comfort, discomfort, stress, or excitement. Every animal has their own language and I want to understand yours before we ever meet. House Access & Emergency Protocols: Two methods of home access are required in most cases, along with your emergency vet's information and any specific instructions for your home.

A typical day

Every visit is guided by the individual in my care; their energy, their mood, and what feels good for them that day. For dogs, that might mean a sniff-led walk where they set the pace and choose the route, an enrichment session with puzzle feeders or scatter feeding, a game of fetch in the yard, or simply some quality time decompress together on the couch. For the adventure-ready ones, I offer curated outdoor excursions through West LA's parks, trails, and private Sniffspot locations. For cats, visits are just as intentional. Some cats want to play — with toys such as wand toys, laser pointers, crinkle balls — and some just want a calm, familiar presence nearby while they do their own thing. I follow their lead entirely and never force engagement. For reptiles, birds, rabbits, and other companions, enrichment looks different for every species and I take the time to learn what that means for each individual in my care. No two visits look exactly the same because no two companions are exactly the same.

Fear Free Care for ALL Species

Pet care experience

I have spent over a decade working professionally with animals; from monitoring wolf populations in the field and caring for farmed animal sanctuary residents, to wildlife rehabilitation and in-home pet care. Every chapter of that journey deepened the same belief: every individual life has value, regardless of species, history, personality, or preferences. That belief is the foundation of everything I do. I founded AllCompanion Pet Care in 2022 and spent four years building a thriving, five-star rated practice in Minneapolis before relocating to West LA in April 2025. I am Fear Free certified, Pet First Aid and CPR certified, and fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates. I specialize in the care of anxious, reactive, fearful, and special needs companions; the ones who need someone willing to slow down, listen, and let them set the pace. I also proudly care for all species, including dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, rabbits, and more.
