I love taking care of animals, it makes me so so happy! I try to get my 10k steps everyday, so I always bring my dog with me whenever I’m out. I do everything with my dog whether it’s eating, watching a show, or just relaxing.

A typical day
I love taking dogs out on walks, playing fetch, going to the dog park (if they get along with other dogs of course), watching reality tv (they love it!) and doggy shows on YouTube. I also love making my dog enrichment toys that keep him stimulated!

Pet care experience
I have had two dogs over the past 8 years of my life. I had a German Shepherd, and I now have an Australian Shepherd Lab mix. My German Shepherd, Captain, had epilepsy, so I have also dealt with animals with disabilities like him. I absolutely love all kinds of animals especially dogs, that's why I've been vegetarian for almost 12 years.

Dounia was great with my dog while I was gone for a week. My dog was initially wary and Dounia gave her time to get used to her. Within a few days they were buddies and snuggling. Dounia sent me many updates on her arrivals and walks and when she was leaving the house. She washed all the linens before leaving. I would use her again
Dounia was an amazing sitter! We have three challenging little dogs (reactive to strangers, needy in the the house) and she handled them with grace and ease. She communicated well, kept me updated often, and left the house spotless (it was probably better than when she arrived!)
Dounia is one of the most exceptional pet caregivers I know. I would give a million stars if I could! She has cared for your dog for quite some time. She is extremely reliable, loving, caring and definitely one of the most responsible, trustworthy caretakers you will ever find. She provides timely and daily reports of our dog and always lets us know if something does not seem right with our dog. She will ensure your pet is taken care of extremely well. From a young age, Dounia has always loved animals. A vegetarian for over 13 years and an activist for animals everywhere, her compassion shines through every part of her life. Dounia has spent over 100 hours dog-sitting and she takes pride in her work…my two dogs and cat love Dounia! I highly recommend her to anyone seeking pet care. She genuinely cares about the welfare of all animals.
