Availability

I work from home and so I'm almost always around, excepting an occasional night out. We have a large fenced garden and so we let dogs in and out throughout the day as they desire, depending on weather of course. We play ball, and chasing squirrels and such gives plenty of exercise. For winter rainy days, we do neighborhood walks instead.

Information Douglas H. would like to know about your pet

It's important that your dog is very friendly with both humans and other dogs. We will trust your judgement on this, but please don't book if your dog does not enjoy hanging out with another (very friendly) dog.

A typical day

During spring/summer/fall, dogs are between the house and the garden most of the day (open door), playing, smelling etc. We play ball with them and supervise them as needed. Neighborhood walks on rainy days when the garden is too wet.

Pet care experience

I am a lifelong dog lover, having owned dogs for many decades. Our lovable Trudy adores other dogs and will be much happier with other dogs in the house, which is one reason we've decided to board dogs on Rover. I will be the caregiver for your dog; the rest of the family will love and entertain your dog as if our own. Every dog is different, and we're happy to adapt to their routine and whatever their personality requires. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable, gets plenty of attention, and has a great time while you're away.

Douglas took good care of my dog during his stay. A well exercised dog was collected and I’m sure he would be overjoyed to return for more fun. Thank you Douglas

Douglas and his family were great to Buddy. He was well cared for and really enjoyed playing with Douglas’s own dog. Would definitely have Budfy take his holiday with them again.
