I work from home with a house set up to accommodate dogs and a very large backyard. I am available 24/7 to take care of, walk, and care for your pups when needed. We'll enjoy going on good walks throughout the neighborhood and any potty breaks needed throughout the day. I can of course accomodate specific requests and routine variations.

At my house we have a fenced in yard and my roommate has a friendly 1 year old Chihuahua who lives in her room which has the ability to be partitioned off from the main house in case your doggo doesn't like extra company. I take extreme care to ensure safety comes first while providing a comfy and loving environment.

There's a new culture forming! Dog culture! Lol. But it is one where human culture is interacting with the burgeoning dog care needs. While doggos are learning norms of behavior that are appropriate for interaction on more and more fronts of our society, and humans are learning to adapt and enjoy this new dog society. I facilitate these interactions with playfull, gentle, thoughtful, mindfulness and a deep understanding of the dog's needs, guided by love and leadership. These opinions were informed from having raised three dogs over the last 20 years; a toy breed Maltese (which needed extra special attention for his safety), a medium sized energetic very intelligent American Eski female who needed a lot of activity and attention, and a larger mixed breed neutered male who was just the best good boy ever. With that base of experience I recognize the nuances of doggo behavior & their various needs in order to guide and watch them safely.

I have a 130 lb reactive Rottweiler. I have been lost trying to find someone I trust with my big baby. We never get to go out because I can never find a sitter to watch him. Organizing Disney trips and Universal days has always brought me stress. Although he's a sweetheart, my dog Rollo has extreme anxiety and can seem aggressive out of fear. Boarding facilities usually won't take him because of his size to begin with and today was VERY last minute. I downloaded Rover desperate to find someone and Douglas was the first boarder to pop up. I doubted anyone would respond or be willing to watch a reactive 130 lb Rottweiler but Douglas responded to me SO fast and was SO happy to help/ find out exactly what me and my dog needed. Everything moved so quickly and he told me I could drop him off in two hours! He gave me options and we ended up agreeing to let him hang out outside during the day since his yard was fenced. I told him I was ok with him just staying in a crate during the day with no interaction as well, but when I got there I instantly felt more comfortable and could tell Douglas was a kind guy who understood dogs. Rollo was running around hanging out with the other pups in the backyard by the time I got back. We are SO, SO, SO happy we found Douglas. When I pulled up, I am not going to lie, I was like "oh no, Rollo is definitely going to get DIRTY!" Haha But let me tell you...!!! I've never seen my dog so happy. Ever. Douglas had water outside for him and a shelter/ room he could chill in if he got overwhelmed/ hot. He updated me through out the day with pictures and little updates on how he was doing. The biggest blessing - Douglas gave Rollo space. He gave me choices AND was SUPER respectful about everything I brought up to him. When we arrived to pick Rollo up they were cleaning him and his things off 🤩 even though I did NOT expect them to do that!! My family and I had an amazing day at Universal today (and it's all thanks to Douglas.) We will definitely keep in touch and use him again next time we are in Florida!!! Thank you again for everything!!!
