I love dogs...AND cats!
Hi! My name is Doug. I'm a freelance film worker who's been rescuing and raising dogs and cats for most of my adult life. I already pet sit for most of my friends, so I figured I'd give Rover a try. I have a two beautiful kitties. I don’t currently have a dog. I lost my Fiona in February, and I’m just not ready for another yet. I love caring for animals. To me, it's so much less stressful on the animal to keep them in a home while you travel than in a kennel environment. I have a house suitable for boarding a couple of more dogs at a time. If you'd like boarding service for dogs, I just have to be sure they're cat friendly. Your pet won’t just be cared for at my house, they’ll be loved! I WILL ONLY BOARD DOGS THAT HAVE BEEN SPAYED OR NEUTERED. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Doug is our life-saver and is one of the most incredible dog sitters we have ever met. He genuinely loves our senior dog Remy, and makes sure she is safe and healthy during her stay with him. We have repeatedly relied on his kind care for Remy, but this time, especially, he accepted her in the shortest notice, by being very flexible for us. We are so grateful to him and highly recommend him as your furbaby's responsible sitter!

We feel truly blessed to have Doug in our lives. He is endlessly kind and gentle with our senior pup, Remy. Every time we drive up to his house, Remy instantly knows she’s about to see her favorite person, and starts making the cutest little begging noises for us to open the car door so she can rush to him. We are so grateful for the care and love he gives her, and we would wholeheartedly recommend him to any pet parent!

Schedule
My schedule is irregular, so my a availability waivers. I’m a freelancer and generally book between one or two weeks in advance, so it’s difficult for me to commit too far in advance.

I have a fenced in yard and live in a great neighborhood. As long as you don’t have an escape artist, they’ll be all good here!

A typical day
Play, play, play. I love dogs, so your pup will get plenty of attention and love. I also don’t believe putting your hands on a dog in anger is EVER ok.
