I have a small fenced in backyard and 2 animal friendly cats. If needed, I am able to close my cats into their separate room when I'm not home. If providing care at client's home, I will walk, feed, medicate and play with them as well as spend the night if needed.

If you're looking for a dog walker, boarding, or staying at your home to watch your pets then look no further! I have cared for many pets ranging from puppies to senior animals to reptiles. I work at the NC Zoo, so I am able to go home and let dogs out/walk them over my hour lunch. I do watch my parents 2 Australian shepherds whenever they are out of town at my home, with a fenced in backyard, and my 2 cats get along with the dogs fine!

Dorothy is an incredibly attentive and very diligent caregiver and we trust her implicitly in caring for our pets. She has been providing excellent care and plenty of cuddles for my three pets for several years now, including an ancient and medically-fragile cat. As our cat's needs increased, Dorothy adapted easily to the new routines and requirements, and was immediately comfortable with administering the twice-daily insulin injections. She's proven to be excellent at caring for any animal sent her way -- furry or scaly. We (and our pets) are very lucky to have her in our lives! She treats our pets like her own, and they always know they're going to get some good rubs and their favorite foods when Dorothy walks in the door. Her passion for animals has been a lifelong part of who she is. In fact, her love of animals inspired her to earn a degree in Zoology and pursue a career as a zookeeper.
