Dorothy was so lovely! I immediately felt at ease leaving Pancake in her care, from her energy to her patience, she is a great pet sitter. Would definitely book again.

Dorothea recently house sat for our two very complicated kitties for a week. Both of our cats suddenly developed IBD when they were 8 years old and now require around-the-clock coaxing with small, frequent meals (8–9 a day!), medication given at set times, endless patience and, for the lucky volunteer, regular stool monitoring too! It's a full-time job, so we were incredibly anxious about going away. In fact, this was our first holiday since they became ill a year ago. It turns out we needn't have worried. Dorothea was reliable, compassionate and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She treated our two princesses as if they were her own. The best way I can describe her is as a real-life Mrs Doubtfire... in the very best sense. She has that wonderfully warm, reassuring, caring presence and Scottish tone that instantly puts you at ease, coupled with an infectious sense of humour. But don't let that fool you! She also has endless energy, is wonderfully proactive and somehow manages to keep on top of everything without ever seeming flustered. She also very kindly watered our garden while we were away during what felt like the hottest week of June on record. If you're looking for someone who will genuinely care for your pets, your home and your peace of mind, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dorothea. We came home to two very happy cats, and for us, that's about the highest praise we can give.

Dorothea did an absolutely amazing job looking after our young cat 'Humpy' while we were away on a cruise for 5 weeks. She gave us regular updates and it was really reassuring to know that 'Humpy' was being cared for and made a fuss of in the same way as if we had been there ourselves. Dorothea is a very friendly, adaptable and approachable person who very clearly has a deep love of animals. She formed a very special bond and relationship with 'Humpy' while we were away and he felt very happy and comfortable with her from the offset. As well as 'Humpy' being well looked after the house was in spotless condition. Dorothea is coming again to look after our 'Humpy' again for 16 nights in October and we can't recommend her highly enough. If you want a kind, friendly, capable and reliable pet sitter then Dorothea is your person to go for.

Fabulous cay sitter. Dorothea has looked after our cats as good as we would ourselves if not better! She also left our house absolutely immaculate. Not sure the cats even noticed we had gone 😅 I would definitely book Dorothea again. Highly recommending her.

Very nice and helpful. Prompt & understood my dogs needs. Felt very confident she would cope and we would have no hassles. That assumption was correct. Not sure Barney missed us much?

Dorothea dog-sat at ours for 4 nights and was here the whole time, unlike some 'sitters' who go out to work or don't sleep over. She was marvelous with our 2 demanding mini-dachshunds. They fell for her within minutes, despite normally being very suspicious of strangers. Dorothea was highly responsive, accommodating and flexible with us and our dogs, as well as being a lovely person with an interesting background. She went out of her way to be super-helpful when she was here and left our house clean and tidy when she left. I have no hesitation in recommending Dorothea as a kind and thoughtful Dog-Sitter-Plus.
