I don’t have a dog of my own at the moment; my last companion passed away after 14 wonderful years together. That experience deepened my love and understanding of dogs, and I now bring full attention and affection to every pet I welcome. I offer personalized care, keeping their routines and preferences in mind, whether it’s feeding, playtime, or quiet cuddles. For walks, I choose calm routes and adjust the pace to each dog’s needs. Before caring for any pet, I love learning all the important details ahead of time 🐾—their routines, favorite toys, any quirks, and especially health needs or medications. Knowing their personality helps me make them feel safe and happy, whether they’re shy, playful, or full of energy. The more I know, the better I can tailor the experience to make them feel right at home.
A typical day
When I watch pets, I make sure they have a great time! 🐶🐾 I have a fenced yard where they can run around safely and play freely. We’ll enjoy fun outdoor time together, and there are several parks and green spaces nearby that we can explore on walks. Whether it’s sniffing new scents, chasing toys, or just relaxing in the sun, I make sure every moment is full of joy and care!

I had such a great first experience using Rover, and I’m so happy Fudge’s very first sitter experience was with Dorotea. From the beginning, she was kind, welcoming, and made me feel very comfortable leaving my puppy with her. Fudge can be very energetic and excited around new people, but he was clearly well cared for and came home happy, tired, and relaxed. She also sent continuous updates throughout the day with pictures and videos, which honestly meant a lot to me. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands and being looked after so well. This was my first time ever using a sitter/daycare or Rover in general, and Dorotea made the experience incredibly smooth and stress-free. I would absolutely book with her again in the future whenever I need someone to look after Fudge. Highly recommend!

I found Dorotea to be fantastic and quick repons to all messages from the start. Was able to accommodate my Pomeranian, Domo and also provided updates in form of photos and messages. I was working my first day at work and Dorotea healpd tremendously ease my worries. Very knowledgeable with care and easing anxiety separating from me. Thank you and highly I recommend. Dorotea really helped us out with a short notice stay for our senior boy. She sent updates, photos & a video so we could see how he was doing. She took great care of him & he seemed to enjoy his day. Thanks Dorotea!
