I also like to know about their behavior and personality—things like how they are with new people, other animals, or on walks, as well as any triggers, fears, or quirks. For dogs, it’s helpful to know leash behavior and recall skills, and for cats, their comfort level with handling and play. Of course, I also appreciate knowing their favorite toys, treats, and what makes them happiest! The more I know upfront, the more I can make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.
