I work part time as a pet groomer's assistant and am also in college. On the days I work at the pet grooming I am gone for about eight hours (Mon, Tues, Sat). On Wednesdays I'm at my college for about three hours. Other than that, I am very flexible with my schedule and am happy to spend time with the animals as much as possible!

Safety, trust & environment

I always do my best to be communicative with owners and them know what's going on with their pet. I don't mind if you have cameras in your home, I would just appreciate a heads up about it. I follow written directions very well, especially for an overnighter. Whatever it is that makes you feel most safe and secure while I'm taking care of your pet, I'd love to discuss!

Information Dorian S. would like to know about your pet

The more informed I am the better care I can provide! I ask questions like: -What medications is your pet taking and what medical needs do they have? -What kind of physical touch/petting do they enjoy? -What are their favorite games or toys? -Who should I call if there is an emergency? -Where does your pet usually sleep? -What is their routine like? -What behavioral quirks do they have? -Are they an off-leash or on-leash animal? Indoors or outdoors? -Are they food, toy, or people aggressive? -What are some of your favorite activities to do together? -How familiar are they will having a pet sitter?

A typical day

I’m an early riser, and enjoy getting myself and the pets fed in the morning. I take them to use the restroom, and give some cuddles to start the day off right. I make sure they are happy and content before leaving for any of my activities for the day. While pet sitting I make the pets a priority, drawing me back to the house as soon as possible! Since I’m a college student, I spend time doing homework and hanging out with the pet, letting them know that just because their owner is away doesn’t mean they’re alone. I love to take dogs on walks or play games with the kitties. Nervous and older pets is something I have experience in, and work every day to help them feel safe and secure. In the evenings they get fed and we spend time together watching a show, playing with their favorite toys, or cuddling on the couch. I update owners often, and send a picture every day! *This has been an example of what a typical day could look like. Of course, the day will be tailored to your pet’s individual needs*

Pet care experience

Hey there! My name is Dorian, and I would feel so honored to watch your pets. I know for a lot of you they're like your children, and it's so important that they get the love and care they deserve. As an animal mom myself, you can be sure that I will treat your pets just as well as I treat mine. I've been in the pet industry since I started volunteering at a grooming shop at 13 years old. This is the same pet grooming I work at now, 16 years later! I've also worked in two veternairy offices as a secretary, and trained to be a vet tech. Growing up my mother had her own in-home doggy (and cat) overnight and daycare business. I gained experience working with pets in-home by helping her grow her business and take care of the animals. Seeing animals in every facet (from grooming, to medical needs, to home care) has given me a unique perspective, which I will bring to my time with your pets. As you can see, animals have always been a big part of my life, and is something I'm very passionate about!

Dorian has cared for our pets many times now and has always done a fabulous job. Dorian is kind, reliable, and trustworthy. When our kitty got a foot injury just before our trip, Dorian came out to our house to confirm our cats needs before our booking and went above and beyond to make sure he was cared for properly while we were away! I would highly recommend Dorian!

Dorian always takes amazing care of our two poodles and home while we're away. We're especially appreciative of her after our last trip where one of our dogs was having stomach issues. She kept us updated and cleaned up after him. Thank you, Dorian, for everything!
